I dont think defensive players should win the award...but thats just me. I also dont think a team's record should determine an award finalist. That is retarded logic.

But i agree, Barkley SHOULD be on there. You know why he was left off? USC sanctions. And that is also retarded. Why LaMichael James was left off is beyond me.

I somewhat agree about the defensive players but this dude made a significant impact on special teams....I think it was the Arkansas game Arkansas came out on fire but when mathieu took that punt back...The momentum swithced and LSU never looked back...This dude is a playmaker.

Luck has the most value to his team. take the rest of the finalist off their respective teams and their records are still the same. take Luck off Stanford and they are a .500 team...

and James isnt a finalist cuz he wasnt in the top 5 in votes. blame the voters, not the hiesman committee...

...thanks to RG3....thats my point. However, your answer SHOULD have been Ganaway...he rushed for 1300+ yards and 16 TD's.

RG3 played EVERY snap this year except for a half against TTU, only becuase RGIII got hurt. He even played an ENTIRE game against Stephen F. Austin, a FCS school in which they beat 48-0. What does that tell you?
