People will be suprised from what game they think will become game of the year to which one is actually the best.

I bought mass effect 1 and 2 because of all the awesome reviews and how dope those game were supposed to be. Managed to get through about a half hour of each before i thought these games were gay as fuck! Took em both back to gamestop, i don't really understand the appeal? I think Uncharted 3 got this easy especially since i just saw the new shit they're puttin in mp! I just don't think that space shit appeals to a wide enough audience, although uncharted kinda has the same problem be it a ps3 exclusive..

yea i agree, i dont know whats all the hype about those games, i also bought mass effect 2 and return it the next day, shit sucks.... i also think uncharted 3 is goin 2 take it.. uncharted 1 and 2 are fuckin awesome

I've only peeped the old SW films, fell asleep on one of them and don't have light saber. It doesn't appeal to me but ME does. You are fuckin with the force or some shit like that. It's the story, you play for the story and how you can change hella shit due to your choices, not to mention the 3ps elements are on point.

It's not about an accurate opinion. Look at the list again and you'll see that there are few new IP's on the list. In fact, I think more than half on the list are sequels, and if you toss in the ones I didn't get to add, that means you're looking at damn near ten sequels. Now look at the numbers each of those series did. With maybe the exception of Deus Ex: HR, all the other sequels have been AAA titles that pushed millions of copies. So if you don't understand that think of it like this:

Who is going to win the world series next year? Who is going to win the superbowl next season? Who is going to win the US open? It's all conjecture/speculation.

The choices in ME are only chosen through dialogue instead of gameplay options (at least to my knowledge), thats cheap as fuck man..

Using conversations as a crutch for storyline development is actually more of a detriment than being immersive. Very uncreative.

No, dialogue options and what you do can drastically change gameplay, who stays alive, what side missions open up, who you fuck, etc. But if there is a mission that you don't want to take or do, you don't have to do it. You may miss out on key elements or change the story a bit, but you have the choice to do what you want. And it's not all determined by dialogue. You can get a message requesting help and its on you to help or not.
