they thought they were getting a top ten pick for big rich, they got took.

we would probably waste it on some bullshit and overpay some rook anyway. better to use that money towards keeping what we got and maybe signing a free agent or two.

what are you talking about?!?!?! the pats always hit gold with cats in the 5th 6th and 7th rounds. now imagine what they are going to do with a #17 pick in the first round.

and fuck 49ers #7?!!?! damn we fucked up this season oh well just got home from watching them pipe down the bitch ass cardinals @ monster park. Lets go Niners take care of business next season.

Still... That first round pick coulda helped us out a LOT.

But fuck it. Atleast we didn't give the pats a good pick. Fuck em!
Richard Seymour was def. worthy of that 1st round pick.... by far! dude is literally our 2nd best defensive player besides Aso.. and he's a locker room leader whose already won a couple of championships and knows what it takes.

Some disappointments drafting high..before the season started I would not have figured that frisco, Minnesota, Dallas, Cincinnati and Houston would be drafting so high..

Pats stole the Raiders #1 pick and Carolina's #2 (#33 overall) pick in next years draft. Why do teams still deal with the Devil? lol

stole?? far from it.. if anything pats helped Oak out with this one.. Richard Seymour has been a BEAST! he did make it to tha probowl as well by tha way.. if Seymour wouldn't have been productive and we had another shitty season giving tha pats a top 10 pick then Id say your right.. but nope

and knowing tha raiders, we would have prob drafted a 1st round bust anywayz... rather much have a solid player like Big Rich here.. he's been a tremendous help to tha Dline.. it aint hard to see

yeah I agree he's one of the best dlinemen in the league, but why would you think the Pats would trade him away? He's gotta be getting over the hill pretty soon don't you think?

im pretty sure the pats have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds.they been lookin foward to 2011 for the last 3 years
and the crazy thing is they could win the superbowl. Fuck they know how to run a franchise, plus it helps if you have Tom Brady.

Tha pats are tha pats.. with their coach and system they can replace anybody! Just look at what they did once they traded away Randy Moss ( broke patriots records with T. Brady last season ) looks like their offense never lost a step.. and honestly I think Seymour has a lot left in tha tank... He's only like 30 so I say he'll stick around tha NFL for another couple of seasons.. tha dude is a beast! and always draws double coverage, which helped Tommy Kelly and our rookie Lamaar Houston have a breakout season..He's already had 2 solid seasons as a Raider.. Its all a matter of locking him under a long term contract cuz we only signed him to a 1 year deal and franchised tagged him this season.. He's stated numerous times he's proud to be a raider and wants to remain here, so its just a matter of gettin a deal done

vikings and titans are far from being close as good as tha patriots.. my point was stating that pats can replace anybody tho.. once they traded Moss away many wondered who would become their #1 WR.. then look what they do, they bring back Deion Branch and he's looking like he never lost a step even tho he did jack shit with Seattle.. as long as a player is capable of gettin tha job done at their positions they will thrive in NE

they traded him because he was in the last year of his contract and had a lot of trade value left. why not trade him and get something than just let him walk

that is true.. but I'm sure Big Rich woulda took a paycut to stay with tha team who drafted him @ tha time.. who wouldnt wanna chance at more superbowls playin for tha pats.. he's already got what like 3 w/ them? but whatever.. I'm just glad it worked out.. and I hope he remains here for tha rest of his career

LOL, thats why your a raider fan. You would rather have a 32 year old Seymour at the end of his career, help your bad team become a .500 team.

He's not even under contract for next season. In 2017, when that #17 pick is in the prime of his career, Seymour is going to be where? Dont say the Raiders were going to waste that pick, when all you Raider fans are going on and on about the great draft from last year.

Instead, the Raiders couldve drafted a 22-23 year old and had him under contract for the next 6 years and building a soild team for the future.

Instead, the Patriots are doing that.

There is A LOT of fallacy in this post.

For one, you are ASSUMING that the pick Oakland traded, would be the same position as Seymour. You are also assuming that pick turned out to be GOOD. On top of that, you are ALSO assuming that Patriots KEEP that pick, and not trade it away, or that the pick they make also becomes a good NFL player. That is all PURE speculation at this point.

Oakland and NE did what they thought was best for their team, nothing more and nothing less.
