It's a team sport, but losing Troy is obviously a huge loss for the Stealers. I don't like the Stealers, but Troy is the only Stealer player that I like. He's one of the best safeties in the league.

^^^ Why not? It was a close game that could have went either way... I have to give credit to The Bears D, because they played descent. It's only the second game of the season with a lot of games still left on the schedule. I would rather Jeff Reed fuck up this early in the season instead of a late season deciding game. I thought Pittsburgh didn't play too bad considering they were without Polamalu. Yeah, Tyrone made some huge mistakes that cost us the game...

I was wrong what I said a few weeks ago... Our defense just isn't the same without Polamalu! Also, I'm tired of Bruce Arians playing not to lose mentality...

Troy will back in a few more weeks.

There's a lot of blame to go around for that Begals game:
-Limas Sweed (needs to be cut)
-Jeff Reed (can't blame him for missing at 51, but he used up his free pass last week)
-Steelers D in the 4th quarter
-Mike Tomlin
-Goal line offense
-Bruce Arians

I should give Parker a pass for actually getting some yards this week, but if you can't score on the 1 yard line, you're not a complete RB.

You could be the Rams. At least your team can win games. You guys will rebound.

The Offense not being able to run the ball all falls back on coaching though! What ever happened to lining up in a "I" or "Offset I" Formation and giving it to the Fullback? My theory has always been when you hand the ball off to the Halfback in a short or goal line situation, it gives the Defense too much time to react. If they only need a yard, call a QB Sneak, FB Dive, QB Sneak again or vice versa! Tomlin needs to swallow his pride and recognize that we don't have the best Run Blocking Offensive Line in the NFL...

I think our rookie FB got hurt before we were on the goal line and Frank Summers can't be trusted. We need Dan Kreider back.

Back when we had the linemen, FB, and RB, all we needed to do was get in the "I" and pound the ball in there. Bettis spoiled us. We don't want to convert on 4th and 1 or 4th and goal. We expect it. And now that it isn't happening, it seems like the sky is falling.

I agree it all goes back to coaching. We talk about how good of a front office we have, but look at our past 3 1st round draft picks. Where have Timmons, Mendenhall, and Hood been?

If none of them are gonna play a damn game, we could have got 3 OL over the past 3 years. Then we can put in No Name Parker and have him get big stats based on being behind good linemen. Instead, we have average RBs behind below average linemen, and we expect to do well because our QB can overcompensate for a shitty line. That only lasts so long.

Last year, a big portion of our games were won by a small margin. This year, our games are lost by a small margin. We're running out of luck.

This week I'm hoping..

Harrison isn't sick
Woodley can shed some blocks and seal the deal
Sweed gets gunned down on the Roberto Clemente bridge on his way to the stadium
Mendenhall practices hard enough to be on the field to spell Parker
Spaeth and Miller run block
Holmes wants to be great again
I edited that shit for you...

Fuckin right though. I saw Davis at PF Chang's about a year ago. Dude is a beast. He's gotta at least be better than summers.
