i can personally say that ive witnessed skraps out here use their own kids as a shield. Once in front of a liquor store by my place, when he pulled up and seen all of us posted outside, he went back inside his car and grabbed his kids to bring them inside the store with him, held his youngest up over his face..
another time we chased one to his house, we banged on the door and who answers? a 4 year old and 6 year old, dude went hiding somewhere inside..
my case in point, once kids are involved in the equation you sit back and wait to catch em the next time around..
