Mainly because I don't think it should be up to the parent in some cases, and in other cases such as a girl with some super conservative parents who would disown her or torture her to "teach" her or "smoke the devil out of her." It says something about notification can be waived by a court if the girl demonstrates maturity, but it doesn't say much about how the process would work and how long such a process would take. Time would be a huge factor in some cases for obvious reasons. I'd probably say yes if the age limit was a little lower than 18.

hahaha I know but thats what the main argument against same sex marriage is relying on, that being the case, this is a pathetic argument that holds no validity and goes to show that the right needs to retreat to such feeble arguments to make their case.

I personally don't see the harm in allowing same sex marriages to be legal. I also don't see the harm in teaching kids about it. I know maybe parents are paranoid about what is being taught to their kid, we all know, one way or another YOUR kids will learn worse, weather it comes from their friends, the internet or the newspaper. Sorry to break the news to you but its true. You cannot protect your kids as much as you would like.
