I hate that culture talk shit...makes me uncomfortable as fuck, and I'm white. I always have to tell some drunk white asshole to shut the fuck up with that shit, lol.
About the brother thing, I think that's just what a lot of white people do these days. They call me brother too, and I just tell 'em, "I ain't your brother, dude". If that's one of my boys saying it, it's a different story...but I've had a LOT of cats say, "What's up brother?", and I don't even know the fucks.

Yup. I have white friends that do this shit...so I don't bring 'em around my friends of other backgrounds. They didn't grow up around it, so they don't know exactly how to act around it....gotta tell them to just be themselves or don't say shit.
My Aunt's husband is a perfect example of this kind of white person. He knows I rap, he's heard my shit. Even though he's basically family, every time he sees me he says, "Yooooo, what's up? Bust any flows lately?" I'm like, "Can you talk to me like a human being you ignorant fuck?" What, because I rap I can't hold a conversation in plain English? I know it's a bit different, but it's the same idea.

and another small point is san diego has ALOT of sheltered white folk. they have absolutely no reason to go into the parts of the cities where other races even exist. unfortunately san diego is set up like that.
but im not passing judgement on ALL white people at all...my bosses are white and they hired my ass..i came to the interview 15 minutes late and high as fuck and my current boss got out of his seat, let me sit in his seat and he sat in the interviewers seat. .lol..that says alot

Thats funny Gas One you get pissed about white people calling you brother. I am white and i call everyone brother. It is kinda of a country thing out here. Anyway i was at foot locker and the salesman was black and i said brother to him and i saw the fury in his eyes. You could tell he wasn't from around here he seemed like he was from chicago or new york. I don't see it as disrespectful to say that, i wasn't saying it to fit in with him. I say it as manners like thank you. Sounds weird but it is the culture here. If he was from here he would been cool with it.

yea, exactly. i mean there are still gonna be some ignorant/sheltered people no matter where you go, but i think it's a lot better here than most places.
i grew up in berkeley which is super diverse, so i've always been around people from all kinds of different backgrounds my whole life, and i think i'm lucky to have had that experience.
