They had most of their success in the 70's popularity wise, but I'm gonna say the 90's. For one because I was at an age when I could enjoy the music while it was being released and also because they had more hit singles. Pre-90; Sweet Emotion, Dream On and Angel were good songs.
What brought you to this conclusion? I know it does something, there have been MIT studies done on it. As to whether or not it keeps you "safe" remains to be proven.

One the first things I tried to do when I signed up was go for the invites but it says I don't have any. The site admins are saying their servers are becoming overloaded by CPU usage so maybe they stopped giving them out.
