The sound quality on mine is near perfect. I think the first half is a bit more "mainstream" sounding, in that is a bit on the post-grunge side...Deftones style. The last half of the album is vintage DT sound, though. In fact, its almost as if this is a product of two different projects mashed...

Wasnt feeling the beat....but the spits were on point as usual.

I have to give it another spin...first time through and the first half is not my taste.

The album picks up once you get to Beauty School...and Prince sounds like vintage Deftones.

I only skimmed through it...seemed a bit post-grunge on first listen.

The only standout on that album, IMO, is "Psyche" by Martina Topley-Bird. That shit is stupid ill.

Heligoland was a terrible album...only one good song on it IMO.
