Also should say if you like the bouncy radio dancy St Lunatics type of stuff you should also check 1 Dime, 40 Grand, Abyss, Chingy, Dirty Red & Tarboy, Dug'Budda, Lil Mont, Pretty Willie, The Quor, Santini & Tha Deeluh, Tha Nutcase, Young Boyz
sentimental favorite is Sylk Smoov. That shit is still funky to this day.
As far as tight street shit J-Mac & C4, Mr Weez (PS - new CD coming soon), Da Hol 9, Bullet Proof Records, Deadly Deuce, Lyrikal Warfare, That Calvary, Black Pearl Mafia
For the underground hip-hop shit check out Soul...
Re: Re: my STL area rap collection
I havnt seen that CD in a store for a long ass time. That CD was tight, it was different. Whoever that girl was on there was raw too. I heard their producer quit the rap game to try and be a professional boxer or something. I dont know maybe I am getting him...
It is old style, talkin shit about bitches and drinkin and all that old fast beats like ice cube's first CD but less original. It sounds like all the other "Gangsta rap" type of shit that was coming out back then. it sounds very dated listening to it now. "i feed kibbles & bits to my bitches"...
sorry no Cd-R's
i got a few extra real CD's for sale but I am in the process of moving again and all my shit is in boxes so it'll have to wait for a month or two before i bust out my for sale cd's again
tech n9ne has a different flow (sort of reminds me of eminem older stuff but faster). Don Juan beats was the best part, I'm not realling feeling any of his last couple official albums they are on some other shit.
i think if he could get into the suburb rap-rock crossover market he would be real...
nah i am just a sad individual who spends way too much time on this shit and hittin up record stores all over every weekend for the last 12 years or so.
But my STL collection aint shit (quantity wise) compared to my bay area collection :) although I would say most of the STL shit is more rare...
