its sorta like those dark sounds from the south but the patterns are a bit down differently, still dark though.......depends what region but traditional midwest to me is chicago/northwest indiana sound...most other areas of midwest are like bay like southern beats...

EC's previous albums are more hiphop orientated so i don't expect it to sound anything like now. Natural Born Illa was his last "hiphop" album and he's doing the gangsta type of shit now,starting with the whitefolks album.....until then, you have to just find songs he's done here and there with...
