whats up with that oakland expansion team thing. the fuck is that about
Huh? There is no expansion teams on the horizon in the NFL and if there is one Oakland 100% would not be considered after this stadium debacle.

The NFL would need 6 expansion teams all at once if an expansion team were to happen lol

my homie was saying he heard someshit about a expansion team in Oakland. I was like why the fuck would they move us and bring a brand new team to Oakland and what? Build THEM a new stadium. It did sound weird to me but two fools have mentioned that to me already

Welp hopefully season tickets to LV won't cost an arm and a leg, Renewed mine for this year but next year might be a lot of extra cash ( better start saving now )

Way back when Vegas was first being discussed they already said another 15,000 seats could be added to Sam Boyd Stadium in Vegas to make it NFL ready if Oakland doesn't want to keep them in the meantime. The only thing that would suck would be the games in August and September would be 100+ degrees in a wide open stadium. UNLV plays all of their home games through September at night so the sun is at least down, in the NFL they can't choose to play all of their games at night.

that would be throwing money away
retrofitting or adding seats to a stadium that isn't going to be your permanent home is dumb don't you think?

Probably would be cheaper than the 3.5 million a year for the lease at the Coliseum.

The UNLV President who controls Sam Boyd Stadium makes it seem like it would be nothing to toss in more seats lol so who knows.

Probably fill up that empty endzone with bleachers or something.

LMAO seeing that Vegas would be willing to add 15,000 more seats to make Sam Boyd seat 50,000 for the Raiders is making me laugh even harder at the Chargers for playing in that 27,000 seat soccer field for the next 2 years. So many bigger venues in LA and they were like "nah, we're good with 27k" lol bum ass Chargers.

My guess is they getting so much cake off the TV revenue, game ticket sales isn't significant to them in the midterm of an actual stadium. I don't know the financial specifics, though.
