Dec 23rd 2016, I was hit by another driver on the rear of the passenger side near the back wheel. The driver was insured and Imwas driving a Zip Car. I dint have any injuries nor did I check into a hospital for any discomfort. I know I can't recover money for the car because I dont own it. Do insurance companies pay for your incoviniece that their client put you through? It was clearly that drivers fault by where the damage was located on the vehicle I was driving and their damage was on the front bumper.

I'm thinking scince I have no reported injuries I'll just file the claim to the drivers insurance and they will deny me. So I'll file a small claims case for pain and suffering even though I can't prove it. The insurance company may initially offer me a small insulting amount...then midway through the calendar date for the hearing offer a little more...and by the time we are outside the court doors offer me something like $800 - $1,000 which I would accept.

Still in the process of dealing with an accident in 2014, had to hire a lawyer bc the other persons ins said we were at fault and refused to pay for anything. ( i was stopped at a stop light behind a line of cars and the lady ran into the back of my car doing 45mph talking on her phone.) She didnt even have a DL and she was on probation for driving on a suspened L and having no proof of ins.

Oh shit that crazy bra. They just waiting till the last moment to bread you out. You say you got a lawyer...did you ever have or are you getting a court date? 2014 sounds like you been waiting around for a minute.

It's going to cost you money for court fees. It's going to cost you money for lawyer fees, if you can actually find one to represent you. Plus you have to go looking for the person you are suing and serve them court papers. It's like finding fucking Waldo. It's a big headache.

Sounds like you would probably have to put in a lot of time and possibly money upfront for lawyers for what won't be a very large payout in the end. Spend your time on something that will benefit you more in the long run.

You damn sure don't need a lawyer. Call the other insurance company and demand money. They will give you some. Tell them about ur injuries and any work time u missed. They will cough up to keep u from getting a lawyer.

Actually I was thinking of small claims court where you can go up to $7,000 and represent yourself...if they low ball me. Like say offer $50. They'll wait it out till the calendar date and at the door step they'll hit me with a final offer probably $500 - $2,000. As far as court fees it's free to file small claims or worse case scenario it's inexpensive.

They will also do everything.
By everything, I mean everything you don't know to do as well as it's pretty clear no one here knows what to do either.

I can tell you, but even with me knowing exactly what to do, I would still get an attorney.

In the meantime, do you have insurance? You need to book with your primary. That's it. He will refer you to a chiro. Don't go. It's just to fill in the gaps. There is clearly nothing wrong with you. You will need to find a specialist willing to work on a court lien.

You need to do a lot of treatment. Given again, there is nothing wrong with you, I don't see anyone seeing you more then 6 or 7 times. Probably just basic back work. At what? $300 a session. You then submit $2k+ worth of bills for reimbursement, plus up to 300% for pain and suffering, at which they will then dispute, based on the precentage of liability and fault they are willing to admit.

There is more to it than that. Just giving you the jist.

tldr - get an attorney.
