Wham and George Michaels music was horrible, be honest with yourselves- you have bad taste. Crazy how much time and money he gave to charitable causes though, that is what is respectable.

You got to be joking???? I personally think arguing about musical tastes is stupid, like arguing if you prefer chocolate or vanilla ice cream - but select music is pretty much universally agreed to be classic, whether you personally enjoy the artists or not.
You're right to each their own, not my cup of tea, didn't appreciate that crap in the eighties and have zero appreciation for it now. I am not the only one who thinks it wasn't great, sorry to burst your imaginary bubble.
George Michael was actually a very talented singer, whether you liked his music or not he was talented.
I noticed couple mentioned Boy George in this thread but he wasn't on the same level and other than having George in his name I see no reason to compare the two musically. The latter didn't last long and had a hit or two in the 80s when everyone had a hit song, George Michael on the other hand was successful in the group Wham! and became even more successful as a solo artist. He was somewhat of an icon as well and it should be noted his stubble beard game was on point - Boy George was just a mess.
