Premier was dope. Such an fascinating plot and already you can tell shit is about to get crazy.

Already some thoughts - Ed Harris/The Gunslinger evil character, I wonder if he's really a host or perhaps he's actually an Android who has become sentient and trying to figure it all out. Bernard, the lead scientist under Anthony Hopkins, I have a feeling he's an Android too. Like he's Anthony Hopkins greatest achievement or believes he is, the rest of the Westworld probably aren't aware he's not human or shit, maybe there are more.

Anyways, so many different possibilities and directions this show can go from here, definitely had potential to be HBOs best show since GoT

It took me about 20 mins to start figuring out what's going on. I liked it I think the plot is creative. Hopefully it doesn't have a really explanation at the end

I think Ed's character is definitely an android. The scene where Teddy + Dolores first went back to her house at night and they went to have that duel where Ed couldn't be hit. I don't think Teddy would've been able to draw his gun and shoot at him if he was human.

I'm sure there's going to be a ton of twists and turns though. I'm debating whether I want to check out the original movie from the 70's or just watch this show without watching that movie in case they take some aspects of the movie.

That was my line of thinking. If the hosts absolutely cannot harm the guests, why would he, how could he, shoot him? Perhaps the bullets are fakes, perhaps there's some sort of safety implemented. But more than likely Ed Harris is an Android and he's figured out he cannot die, perhaps he's tampered with his programming to not "die". I mean, we saw the bullet go through him, or at least appeared to enter his back amd out his front. He's an Android, bullets ain't going to do shit. He was obviously trying to figure out how the Androids work, by draining most of the blood from that one Android and opening his skull to inspect his "brain".

Also, the Westworld workers mentioned there hasn't been a major incident in over 30 years. In another scene, Ed Harris said to the Android chick Dolores he's been coming there for 30 years. Doesn't seem like a coincidence. So I'm thinking he's an Android who's gone rouge, pets he's off grid. Maybe there are others, maybe it's just him, but I have a feeling he's going to lead a revolution and he's been tampering with them and the other Androids will follow him (every heard of cattle needs a leader to follow, a good quote early in the episode that seems to have heavy foreshadowing).

They set the bar extremely high with that premier so I'm anxious to see where it goes from here. Like you said, I'm sure there will be plenty of twists and surprises, maybe Anthony Hopkins wants this to happen, etc. Seems like this is going to be epic though regardless.

Also, how did they not figure out the poker dealer was gone? At LEAST a day went by...they clearly go in and reset everything each night. Pl

But Ed didnt bleed. The droids bleed like humans. Unless he has figured out how to override the part they programmed where "bleed = death". And they seem to know their inventory, no mention of any droid missing...unless they just havent put that put that device out there yet.

Here is some fun stuff:

Westworld Theory About William and The Man in Black | POPSUGAR Entertainment

‘Westworld’: Top Theories About William (Spoilers) | Heavy.com

'Westworld' show runner: There are some safe assumptions one can make about the Man in Black - LA Times

And this one...

Westworld logo changes/Timeline + MiB theory : westworld

My issue with this one is that this implies that droids "age". I dont think that is possible. As we have seen, they easily swap out characters (Peter Abernathy for example) when something goes array.

I don't think it's a plot hole, it just hasn't been explained yet. Something bigger is obviously going on, conspiracy from the top down perhaps. We'll find out in time I'm sure.

That's what I'm thinking is Ed has tampered with his programming. Droids are programmed to "die" but they aren't really dying, just reset or whatever. He's overrided this somehow. It's only been two episodes so we have more questions than answers and I'm sure we'll find out tins more in the upcoming 8 episodes.

That theory is crazy though. Remember, they hinted that the droids cant harm the guests, but they didnt exactly expand on what that means (Remeber, Williams asked a shit ton of questions before going into the park). Could it mean that the bullets and everything else that comes from droids, only work on droids? Or is it that they are programmed to not harm guests, and how do they KNOW who is a guest and who isnt? If TMIB is really Williams, is HE a droid? Or is the whole "droids cant harm guests" thing revealed through him.

Shits crazy, yo.

They know about him. After the scene in Mexico, they went straight to the two employees and one of them mentions the posse he took out earlier. The other guy just replies "the customer gets what he wants."

So they dont think hes a robot for some reason.

I dont recall that scene being mentioned by the staff at all. I remember them cleaning up the town and the bandit had gone ape shit with the milk...

It's a solid theory and could very well be true. Reddit figured out the early twist to Mr Robot season two after the first episode so it has potential, especially since it's people feeding off other people's ideas and expanding on what makes sense.

It makes sense if that was a flashback. The only question is about the aging but that could be explained a couple different ways. This is a dope show that much is certain. Makes you think about the future of RPGs with virtual reality in its infancy. This would be a sick game to play lol

Rewatch it it happened like Cheaptimes said. They focused in on Ed and made a comment similar to "this guys taken out a whole army want me to send someone in to slow him down" and that person was dismissed because he's a guest.

Kind of messed up my Ed is def a droid theory. Although he still could be and maybe Hopkins or the lead scientist haven't informed the staff of all their droids for a different experiment?

There's definitely some upper level conspiracy shit going on. Whether he's human or a droid, someone high up is in on whatever hes up to, theres no way he can go around taking apart Androids brains essentially destroying valuable property without causing a major fuss.

The scene with Lawrence and his wife & daughter. Just as Ed Harris shoots the Bartender it cuts to the staff members (on HBOGo its ep2 around the 36 min mark)

He has to be an android right?
This makes me want to watch the original movie now. (Ive never seen it)
