Not a bad deal though I don't remember the last time I had McNuggets. Do they still have their own distinct taste that is not quite that of chicken but sorta is at the same time?
No. They taste different. They were at their best when they were fried in a mixture of beef tallow and oil (same applies to their french fries), however the vegetarians ruined that. That's probably the taste you have in mind.

Then they had an almost flaky bakery type after taste for awhile.

Now they have a slightly cleaner taste, they changed the recipe they're supposed to be preservative free now.

Did I answer your questions satisfactorily, my friend?
