you should probably get a second opinion or threaten some kind of legal action. Metal and plastic doesn't just disappear lol I'm guessing the ultra sound technician was a retard, probably did your ultra sound like they were doing a pregnant lady or something and didn't have the equipment set up right.
I dunno how clear you have to be these days, seems seeking medical treatment is completely pointless.
"This ultrasound is because I believe I still have a stent left inside me from a previous surgery; I've been having lots of pain right here. Might want to focus right here in this area; the gastro that ordered this ultrasound wants to know if it's still here and if it moved."
They spent like an hour taking dozens of diff pictures had me rolling around on the bed and holding scanning while I took deep breaths, shallow breaths, all kinds of stuff. I mean they still probably fucked it up but I'm not going to pay another $750 to get another one. and I'm not paying like 2 grand or whatever for them to go in with a camera if there's a chance they'll just be like "welp we didn't see shit" which is exactly how he made it sound like would be the result on the phone. So I don't know, I don't want to go on another multi-year journey to fix some stupid problem in and out of doctor's offices spending thousands of dollars when they probably think I'm just making it up or a hypochondriac or something
I'll wait till I'm practically about to die; it's a lot cheaper to go in for emergency room visits with something life threatening because it's all covered under my insurance, and the stuff that isn't covered will get wiped out under their charity program for extremely poor folks
