Newcastle homeowner Benjamin Batterham charged with murder after burglar dies

what the fuck Australia... come on man

pretty much would've been open season in any state in the U.S. you find a burglar in your home... even here in washington i don't think there's a castle doctrine but there's no duty to retreat either

Washington state law says a person may commit justifiable homicide in self-defense when that person fears “a design on the part of the person slain to commit a felony or to do some great personal injury to the slayer or [another person].”

The state Supreme Court has held that a person must believe there is an “imminent danger” of injury or death before using deadly force.

State law also allows someone to use deadly force to protect his or herself within their home, a legal defense commonly known as the Castle Doctrine. Washington does not have a specific “castle” law, but it does have very similar language extending the right to protect one’s self and others in a residence.

"I told him I had a gun and to please leave my apartment and he said he was going to take it from me and kill me with it, your honor. I only weigh 160lbs and he was easily 220, I feared for my life. He had murderous intent in his eyes."

lol

Well the bass kind of cut off at like 10hz but i could still hear the rumble if i held the headphones 70s style as like an airtight seal all the way full spectrum. i dont know what you're supposed to count

i need to get some replacement pads or soemthing for a better seal or i could just buy some new headphones
