And it came just hours after the United Nations announced what have been described as the strictest sanctions imposed on North Korea in 20 years.

As a result, all cargo going in and out of the country will be inspected, while 16 more people and 12 organisations have been blacklisted.

The United States and China spent seven weeks discussing the nature of the sanctions.
Doesn't north korea make most of its money from producing meth and exporting it? i wonder if this is going to impact that at all, or if it's already being done stealth like, like with submarines and shit. wonder if north korea will do more than just launch some missiles into the sea of japan wonder if they'll do some last stand shit lol

"The United States and China, North Korea's traditional ally, spent seven weeks negotiating the new sanctions, which include mandatory inspections of cargo leaving and entering North Korea by land, sea or air; a ban on all sales or transfers of small arms and light weapons to Pyongyang; and expulsion of diplomats from the North who engage in "illicit activities.""

"Russia's U.N. Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said that "by shutting down, as much as possible, the financing of DPRK's nuclear-ballistic programs, the idea is to ensure the return to the table of negotiations all the interested parties."

The resolution bans the export of coal, iron and iron ore being used to fund North Korea's nuclear or ballistic missile programs but not for general economic use. It prohibits all exports of gold, titanium ore, vanadium ore and rare earth minerals and bans aviation fuel exports to the country, including "kerosene-type rocket fuel.""

"U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power said it's estimated that the DPRK earns approximately $1 billion annually from coal — a third of its export income — and at least $200 million a year from iron ore exports."
i dunno im pretty sure i watched some documentary that talked about how north korea produces like hundreds of millions of dollars in meth a year. they basically have huge industrial labs for this shit like breaking bad shit x10 lol. then they disguise it in their raw materials exports and also smuggle it to certain countries with their military submarines, and with their diplomats, and if you don't know diplomatic immunity basically means these guys can walk around with luggage packed with meth or receive huge amounts of illegal cash and no one can fuck wtih them period, they're untouchable to touch them means to start war. and all this wording in all these articles seems like china, russia, and the us are all ready to enforce strong sanctions and cut this off, basically end their main source of income. im going to choose to think the drpk might finally collapse this time, shits going to get real interesting. i know north korea shows up in the news so much we're all kind of like "who gives a fuck" but this time i dunno, seems like they're actual serious lol

NORTH KOREA BEST KOREA

man can you imagine though, basically north korea is full of millions of people who are essentially homeless / refugee equivalent, and basically need to be educated to function in modern society. that might be one of the most historic things we'll see in our lifetime, one of the most unique things in mankinds history
