@this point if BF doesnt have a PS+ card for $30 im just going to finish up fallout 4 bo3 and move on to XB1 and get whatever games i want on the low.
XBL is always on sale for less the $30 and its shits on ps+ (fact).
there is no reason at all to pay $50 a year for ps+, i dont even know how they can charge $50 for such a shitty service. lag,shitty serves,disconnects ect.

As far as I know, it's up to thr game developer on whether or not you need ps plus. Some games you can play online for free.
Uh what? Everything has been completely revamped and is better. Playing online is smooth. There is party/private chat available now which was never an option before, something PlayStation users have wanted for years and one of the things that made Xbox live better. The free games every month are for all Sony platforms too, so you get a couple ps4 games, a couple ps3 games and a couple vita games every month. They aren't always the best games but they aren't bad games either and some are dope. Some of the ps4 games I've played the most I got for free and I'm still getting ps3 games that I missed out on so that's a cool bonus. Definitely worth the $50 a year without question.

What games lag/disconnect for you? That sounds like the specific games you're playing, which is the same stuff people experience on Xbox live. Most games are perfectly fine playing online, but if you play GTA online for example and its having issues that's 99% of the time Rockstars servers fucking up and has nothing to do with Sony
As of now, you get more free games with PS+ than Xbox offers. It's also $10 cheaper. They are often newer or brand new titles, including a much bigger catalogue of indie titles. Games With Gold is improving, but it's not on PlayStation's level.
They both give out discounts as well and they are virtually the same in all other aspects so I'm not sure why you're saying Live is so much better since it seems Sony has the edge right now (not a huge edge but a clear one nonetheless).

There are always deals on PSN, everything there is practically a discount. You can compare the two side by side and you'll see they are virtually the same when it comes to discounts. Plus gives out more games though and are generally better games although Xbox is starting to do better in that regard as of late.
You can find ways online to get a better deal. I think it was Sears that had a $25 off 100 deal so i bought 2 year cards for about 82.00 shipped but i see sometimes sites are selling them for 40. Slickdeals.net is the best reference to keep up on deals for it.
Also Sony ended up going this route cuz of greedy Microsoft and if you still have a PS3 like me along with a PS4 the free monthly things are well worth it. At least Sony brought that to the table forcing Microsoft to give free shit also. Last month for Ps4 they gave Walking dead Season 2 for free which is an awesome game. Obviously should play the 1st season before playing the 2nd
