He's playing Sunday. I don't think they worked out anything different,,but I think it's clear Kam didn't want to lose anymore money. They could waive some of the fines we don't know any of that yet, but you can't get back game checks. Anyways, glad he's back.

didn't his fines get up to $2million?
not sure how this benefited either side

he brought awareness to the disrespect he's getting. i mean richard sherman is pretty good doesnt mean he should be getting like fucking 5 times as much as Kam that's just bullshit. He needs a raise for sure they better take care of him in the offseason otherwise i dont know man, this organization might be full of bitches if they dont pay him more money. michael bennett can fuck off though if he wants more let him walk

Relative to the competition at their respective positions, Bennett is a better DE than Kam is a S.

that sounds fair but the owners like their money and don't want to renegotiate each year on performance and market value that defeats the purpose of a contract

FUCK YOU
football isn't that glamorous a lifestyle for 99% of nfl players
injuries, and someone new always replacing you and your health they should be compensated good
yeah but there are fair deadlier jobs that don't get paid anywhere near the amount they get paid but owners drop the bill of a new stadium on tax payers

Those far deadlier jobs are for the most part not in the entertainment industry, an industry that reaps billions upon billions. There would be no game without the players. Would you rather watch washed-up replacement players again? Owners drop stadiums on taxpayers cuz taxpayers are idiots and ok the stadium deals

I don't agree with how Kam went about this whole situation, but I just wanted to point out the window for NFL players to make their money is much smaller compared to those other deadly careers, especially with Kam's physical style of play. They work their whole lives to get to the NFL and then they have a few years to make money before it's all over. Of course the ultra elite players it's a bit different, but for most guys they got a few years that's it.

these guys are champion race horses that get a bullet to the dome and sent to the glue factory when they're done, meanwhile the owners are walking away with over ten times what they're paying the players. shits fucked if you ask me. i think they deserve a much bigger piece of the pie, especilaly considering like 90% of ex nfl players autopsied show signs of significant brain damage

furthermore we need to take care of our olympic athletes better these guys give up their lives for a shot at glory and the majority of them don't even make it before injury ruins their shot. we need to take care of them better treat them like superstars like other countries do

I don't think it's $2 million in fines, I think it's $2 million total in loss for Kam (fined minus two gale checks).

I don't think either side benefitted at all. Seahawks lost one of their best players for two games and Kam lost a lot of money. This is precisely why we don't see players hold out during the regular season often. During training camp, OTAs and even preseason, yeah, but missing games only hurts the player too much.

I'm betting this was a case of Kam and his agent coming up with the plan to hold out for more money, the Seahawks didn't budge like they had hoped for and then Kam was just stubborn and stuck to his "principles" but eventually the money he was losing became too much of a reality and he was forced back. That's my take on it anyway.

I'm kinda torn on it. I understand Kam's side and I understand Seattle's side. Both are right in a way but Kam hurt the team, he put himself before the team so that's why I sided more with the Seahawks.

Pete Carroll today said Kam will be a Seahawk for many many years, so I suspect they may have worked out something.

and people forget the seahawks organization isn't one that's scraping by barely keeping the games on tv and having to blackout low attendance games, scraping by with a bare bones budget.

money isnt shit to the seahawks, why do you think we picked up percy harvins contract without even giving a shit, knowing the massive gamble it was?

I honestly don't give a shit about Olympians lol don't they get a million for winning gold or whatever plus they usually all get lots of sponsorships.

They probably need to split the pie more but their is a salary cap and the vast majority of that cap is already going to the players, which is a 53 man roster! In order to get more money they'll need to either raise the cap even more which they seem to do every couple of years or remove the cap completely, which will create an unbalance in the NFL where the richest teams are always the best (which I certainly don't want to see).

They have to take care of the players more though and that's been changing more and more as more research and evidence piles up. But yeah, there's plenty of money being made to secure these guys medically for life.

That means nothing though since there is a salary cap.

it means that Kam will likely get his contract renewed for a new one that's essentially what he was holding out for, probably at the end of this year as soon as they can do it. and behind the scenes, who knows, dude coulda got a sack full of cash money to come back honestly
