Minimum in Seattle is $11 right now for everyone and goes up to $13 for most places (depends on the size of company/business) in January. The theatre gave everyone that was already well above it like myself a proportionate bump up in pay when it went up so that should keep on happening hopefully, which I rather like. Regal is a huge company so it will be $15 a hour for them Jan 2017.

Crazy shit is since it went up to $11 (roughly a $1.50 increase) no places have closed down, hiked up prices (that are noticeable at least) and in the time since it happened (which is only a couple months though) local businesses are actually reporting solid increases in sales over previous months. It's almost like people have more money to actually spend on things, who would have thought.

For real. Working tipped jobs can be a career in Washington already. My wife was making 30-50 an hour in tips plus $10 an hour Bartending at a higher end wine bar. Shits crazy. I'm pushing her to go back to it when our kid is 2-3.

I understand rich assholes spreading that bullshit but it always boggles my mind when they can trick poor and lower middle class people into believing that shit.

Do you know what breed of chickens your neighbor has? Just before Easter, some farm a couple miles north of drunkaholic707 @drunkaholic707 's hometown had $3,000-$4,000 worth of Easter Egger chickens stolen, because they lay pastel colored eggs like these:
