I havent posted here in ages and thats mostly because i preferred sohh (and of course now the coli)

Im a producer, i do not rap. Most of what i do has been considered "too out there" or "too new york" for the bay area so i was more or less rejected out here due to my sound.

Some background on me

https://medium.com/@Trillharmonic/there-are-no-excuses-5815622c01dd

thats probably the most extensive article on me detailing my musical beginnings with my homie dobad and my limited interactions with Killa Tay and what used to be PIIMP (i think its called gorilla gang now). to being a drug addict, to making and releasing instrumental albums out of my outpatient rehab halfway house.

here is a successful kickstarter i funded for 3500 for my album

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1413422580/street-fighter

(That tracklist is out of date because some people were added and removed)

here is an article about a rap album i did about bbw pornstars. Yes. Im dead serious, fatgirl pornstars. Dont act like you dont know some these names. I talked about it a bit here in this article with a magazine out in the UK. I did alot of interviews for it heres a couple.

Introducing: Cole James Cash » Bonafide Magazine

unkut.com – A Tribute To Ignorance (Remix)

this is the only "mixtape" ive ever done, a bunch of remixed tracks

egotripland.com | Cole James Cash

anyhow, I have a new album upcoming. Its about street fighter, cept its called "street champion" most of it is completed. The album has some tracks that are loosely themed around it and some tracks where the rappers rap in character. Features

Sadat X, AG Da Coroner, Eff Yoo, LEX, Chris Rivers, Hot Rod (yes that hotrod from g unit), Blaq Poet, Megaran, Spit Gemz and Skyzoo.

This thread will likely flop. But ask me whatever you want. I havent decided which label itll come out on because the offers are DEFINATELY out there, but until its finished you kinda have to shut up and wait before you announce or discuss shit (something i learned the hard way while negotiating something else).

Anyhow, ask me whatever. Im from the bay area, nobody has ever seen my face i wear a mexican wrestling mask (yes, corny, but intriguing). Often times i get mistaken for either Blu or Stephen Curry or colin kaepernick when im not obscured.

DO YOU THINK ITS FUNNY TO DISRESPECT ANOTHER CULTURE BY MOCKING IT???
Not really sure what you mean. If you mean me paying homage to some of my favorite luchas by rockin their masks, thats just something i find fun and interesting. I know some cats might find that corny, but i enjoy it.

Otherwise you gotta be a bit more specific.

How old is you bru?
im 32. I just had a birthday. Considering it has taken me...literally 10 years to get in position to actually breakthrough its amazing sometimes i didnt throw in the towel, honestly.

What hurt me alot was not wanting to conform, in other words id hear shit like

"you need to use trap drums"
"nobody wants to rap on those breaks thats old"
"You gotta stop sampling"
"where them bay slapz bruh"

etc

Im a jazz pianist and tenor sax player so i orchestrate my music based on that.

i figured if in 2014 i didint start getting the media attention i needed i would just give it up, but i had the most publicized year ever for my music and got the mmoney for an album budget to get the people i wanted.

If those albums i put out in 2014 (i put out 3) didint pop off i would have just said fuck it and finally made use of my degree. (which i dont use)

You said on thecoli that Killa Tay put u on?
Yes and no, he was the first major act i had any association with and liked some of my material, however outside of him having one of my first, VERY FIRST beat cds (had like 3 songs) i never worked with him, but it was interesting being around him because he had stories about alot of people. I dont wanna upset him by repeating some of the shit but some of it was hilarious.

The two times i was in the studio with him it was to record with my good friend Dobad because i was producing for him, and he was associated with tay very closely. Tay has very close ties to Marin County and Dobad is from there.

The only thing was, I didint like the studio we used, it was owned by this little jewish cat who was OK, but you had this bitch ass nerd nigga named Phil, they were called "the slap boyz" or "the leigon" i dont fucking remember, but this nigga phil rightfully got a fucking gun pulled on him in the studio which he absolutely deserved, im pretty sure it wasnt for tay that nigga likely would be dead by now with his snide ass remarks.

But Tay was always real quiet and only spoke when he had something to say, but he was always encouraging and never negative. I had just started producing, even though i was a piano player etc, i never made beats. The last time i saw him was in 2007 at that studio recording stuff for Dobads album that never got put out. I still have those sessions.

has anyone ever thrown a sax at you cuz you werent playing good enough?
lol no. my teacher was a filipino dude from new york who was visiting and was doing it on the side. He would do sessions for alot of house music cats out here which was interesting to hear about. This was from 96-98.

I have however been told to stop playing/practicing at the house when it was late I eventually became a servicable music reader and player but im no expert.

Piano was harder though, i struggled alot, i have a very rough edge to my fingers so my playing isnt that fluid, or its not as fluid as it should be.

what were you hooked on? im referring to drugs....
Perscription pills, never snorted only taken orally. Never graduated to oxy but i was in love with vicodin/perc. and im absolutely still addicted, my relapse definately showed me that. sometimes you think you can go back, it took me 3 full years to become addicted and it changed me. I lost my woman, my fam, everything, until i was left with nothing..not even a hoome. The first article i posted details it alot more. Its been a painful experience, the only thing i can say is i have a job now and my music is really taking off. but the pain of losing them, knowing ill never have my girl back is a sad thing for me that hurts. i still see my son every weekend.

Hey at least you found salvation through beats and big-bodied women
yea. now its just about getting this album about street fighter out by May. Have all kinds of artwork and a couple videos ready and some singles etc, but its just not ready until i pick a distributor. what i had lacking last album was some real star power and this time were loaded with that (primarily out of new york but still)

much appreciated
