We'll just have to wait and see man, I just don't see it.

.. and I didn't mean Wilder wasn't a heavyweight champion, but the heavyweight champion of the world is Wlad. You can say Wilder is it all you want and that's fine, eventually people are going to want to see him fight Wlad.

Again I just don't think people are going to care about the PBC name anymore than they cared about Top Rank Live, Golden Boy on whatever, Latin Fury, or anything else. Like I can't see Rances Barthelemy fighting whoever and asking someone if they're going to watch it and them asking is it a PBC fight?

If this takes boxing to one legitimate champion per division that'd be great with me. Just personally don't see it working. I've always felt boxing is about fighters and their personalities, I don't ever really see it being about branding.

Bro, we are basically in an era where there is a content war on all fronts and these devices (phones, iPads, etc) are the gateways into the lives of those consuming the content and those providing it. So now, more than ever, branding is important. If Haymon and PBC are successful then you will pretty much see one champion. It won't come over night but over time, if they have long term success, which is what they are shooting for, then it will happen. When the time is right you will see ancillary goods (shirts, hats, PBC app, etc) that will help with brand identification. I just peeped their website and its very good for what they have offered so far.

As for TR, GB, etc, if Haymon is planning to take over boxing then they're going to market and push this different from those guys. So I don't see this as a simple spin on a promo company but more of a global thing. And if he taps into that Chinese market that's even more cream.

And back to Wilder, people may want to see him fight Wlad but if it's out of sight and out of mind, and they get people to believe that Wlad is a sucker, not relevant, not worthy, etc, then in the minds of the casual the job is done, Wilder is champ. It's no different from when Duva and Kovalev tried to run that shit on Stevenson, but thank God the emails told the truth.

PBC on NBC Debut Averages 3.13 Million Viewers
Posted by: David P. Greisman on 3/8/2015 .

by David P. Greisman

This weekend’s debut of “Premiere Boxing Champions” pulled in an average of 3.13 million viewers during its two-and-a-half hour slot Saturday night on primetime NBC, according to Zap2it.com’s TV By the Numbers industry blog.

It was not the highest rating on primetime network TV that evening — a pair of CSI reruns and an episode of “48 Hours” outdid it on CBS with 3.42, 3.91 and 4.65 million, a rerun of “20/20” on ABC had 4.09 million, and a showing of “In An Instant” on ABC had 4.36 million.

Premiere Boxing Champions did outdo its 8 p.m. Eastern Time lead-in, “Caught on Camera With Nick Cannon,” which had 2.55 million; FOX’s “The Last Man on Earth” rerun, which had 2.13 million; and a rerun of “Sleepy Hollow” ON FOX, which had 1 million.

Nevertheless, PBC did lead in the coveted 18-49 demographic, pulling in a 1.0 rating and a 3 share.

TV By the Numbers added this caveat: “Due to the nature of live sports coverage, ratings for NBC (Boxing) are preliminary and likely to change in the final ratings.”

The NBC Sports public relations Twitter account said the top 10 market ratings for the broadcast were: Norfolk, Virginia; Cincinnati, Ohio; San Antonio, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Fort Myers, Florida; Sacramento, California; Dayton, Ohio; Orlando, Florida; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

It's good to be on both. I use TC more than WBVA, but there's a few shows that show up there that don't on TC. There's a guy that puts up every Sky Sports/BoxNation full broadcast in HD that don't always show up on TC and another that gets Japanese fights in good quality (a good bit after the fact, but still).

Only downside is they have way stricter ratio rules than TC and way less free leech.
I see. Good to know. I ended up watching it on youtube. Little cutthroat put in work

206 you are hilarious kid. Your hate for Broner is worse than Battle's hate for Floyd/Haymon. Broner had an excellent performance and held Molina to like 2 punches per round lol. C level fighter my ass. Yea I like him and maybe he isnt the next big thing in boxing but he's much better than a c level fighter and he will be champ again. Your hatred and insults for him are to funny. Dude blames Molina's performance on Broner lol. Insted give credit where its due. But haters will be haters so hate on. Got Em!!
Homie, Molina was trash end of story. He kept gesturing to Broner to come and fight him, yet when they were up close, he never threw any punches. It was embarrassing

Let me know if you do sign up to WBVA and need ratio. I don't really upload anything over at WBVA because I burn enough bandwidth as it is, but no one really puts up the Solo Boxeo\Telemundo\BeIN shows over there that I put up on TC. Just let me know your username over at WBVA and say nabucghost gave you permission it put it up over there.

Very solid for the first show. Hopefully Marv Albert/Leonard get better together and the fix some of the very minor issues with the show.

PBC on NBC: Rating Average of 3.4 Million Viewers
Posted by: Random Hits on 3/9/2015 .

STAMFORD, Conn. - Saturday night’s debut of the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC was the most-watched professional boxing broadcast since 1998, according to Fast National Data from The Nielsen Company.

The PBC on NBC telecast averaged 3.4 million viewers, ranking as the most-watched professional boxing broadcast in 17 years (“Oscar De La Hoya’s Fight Night” on FOX, 5.9 million, Mon., March 23, 1998).

Viewership increased every half hour through the telecast and peaked at 4.2 million from 10:30-11 p.m. ET during the exciting Rounds 7-12 of Keith Thurman’s unanimous decision over Robert Guerrero, which The Associated Press called “the kind of fight that had the crowd on its feet and gave a much needed boost to boxing.” With the victory on NBC’s first major primetime boxing broadcast in 30 years (Larry Holmes vs. Carl “The Truth” Williams, on May 20, 1985), Thurman improved to a perfect 25-0 (21 knockouts).

The PBC on NBC also led NBC to a Saturday primetime victory among Adults 18-49, with a 1.08 rating in the demographic.

“The return of primetime boxing to NBC for the first time in three decades got off to a strong start last weekend with Saturday’s PBC on NBC debut,” said Jon Miller, President of Programming for NBC Sports and NBCSN. “With our next primetime telecast on Saturday, April 11, we look forward to building on the momentum that this first event clearly established. We are excited that high-quality boxing is back on NBC.”

Saturday night’s telecast (8:30-11 p.m. ET) posted a 2.11/4 fast national rating – up 174% from the average boxing telecast on NBC from 2012-14 (.77). It is also the highest-rated professional boxing broadcast since the ’98 De La Hoya show on FOX (4.29).

More than 575,000 minutes (576,435) of PBC on NBC coverage was live streamed via NBC Sports Live Extra to desktops, tablets and mobile devices – ranking as the third-best Saturday night this year behind the NFL Wild Card Playoff (Jan. 3, 2015) and the NHL Stadium Series game (Feb. 21, 2015). On social media, #NBCBoxing trended on Twitter worldwide throughout the telecast, along with #PBConNBC, boxers’ names and other key terms trending on the national level.

PBC on NBC returns on Saturday, April 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, featuring four boxers with a combined 127-4-1 record and 80 KOs – undefeated superstar Danny “Swift” Garcia (29-0, 17 KOs) vs. Lamont Peterson (33-2-1, 17 KOs), and middleweight champion “Irish” Andy Lee (34-2, 24 KOs) vs. Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (31-0, 22 KOs).

NBC and NBCSN will present 20 live PBC on NBC boxing events in 2015. Within the 20 live shows, NBC Sports Group will present more than 50 hours of PBC coverage, including NBCSN pre- and post-fight programming for NBC telecasts. The Premier Boxing Champions series is created for television by Haymon Boxing. The PBC on NBC will feature many of today’s brightest stars, in their most compelling matches.

All PBC on NBC shows will be streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extra via “TV Everywhere,” giving consumers additional value for their subscription service, and making high quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms. NBC Sports Live Extra is available for desktops at NBCSports.com/liveextra. The NBC Sports Live Extra app is available at the App Store for iPad and iPod touch, on select devices within Google Play, and on windows phones and tablets.

Fight of the year! Hope Keith's eye is alright, sometimes those kinds of hits/clashes never fully heal. Broner/Chino should happen next or Broner/ Lucas. But at the same time I would like to see him fight a boxer, Too bad we cant get Tim Bradley in there to fight him, I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Some cool fights on HBO Latino tonight. Shabranskyy Vs. Pena in the co main event and Francisco Vargas Vs. Will Tomlinson in what should be a real good test for Vargas.

Hopefully this works out on HBO Latino and they throw some extra cards on it that they may not find main channel worthy.

Sweet. Ah, so that's you. You've contributed a lot to the site. I'll probably use the same login as on TC, which is SkyL. I'll register now. Just to confirm, this would be the official site, right? worldboxingvideoarchive.com
