So Rigondeaux, despite just fighting on December 31st, said he's ready to unify with Leo Santa Cruz on January 17!!! Leo however finally put a name to his TBA opponent (Jesus "Estrella" Ruiz) and declined...

It was a good fight back in 2005 or whenever Taylor was lineal champ and Mora was undefeated. Mora turned it down. Its not a fight I particularly want to see. It's a good fight for Taylor at this stage of his career and avoiding guys with power that's for sure, and a good opportunity for Mora to win a strap. Just a sad fight being that it's for a belt. Winner will undoubtedly face Quillin or Jacobs. Might as well rename this to the 160 pound Haymon belt, it's gonna be in house for a long time.

I wouldn't mind that fight on ESPN like Taylor's last fights. I'd actually be a hell of a lot more likely to watch ESPN's fights if they were on Thursdays.

Steve Kim is a douche but he's been one of the only people that has brought up that Saturday nights are some of the worst nights for programming/ratings. It would be an adjustment for fight fans if fights were during the week, but he might have a bit of a point.
