Cotto's advisor confirms a Mayweather rematch is on the table, but is vague as to when, just says "it's there":
However, that doesn't rule out a potential Mayweather-Cotto rematch. But, that doesn't mean the rematch would necessarily happen in May or even in 2015.
"That fight is there, has been there and will be there. I don't know if [it will happen] in May or September, or the next year [in 2016] -*but the fight is there," Penagaricano said.
Also goes on to say cotto has no contract with HBO but that's nothing new.

If Cotto fights Floyd then Canelo needs to fight GGG. GGG was looking to fight in May anyway and has a growing Mexican fanbase even though he isn't Mexican. So yeah Floyd, take the Cotto fight and miss out on the biggest purse in history. And speaking of history, you will be fighting for history but don't worry as "belts don't matter." Cotto, you will have to face GGG at some point and he is going to crucify you. Canelo, if you step up to fight GGG you'll be crucified as well but you will gain more respect and fans. You'll also be the A side and a Mexican PPV on the May date will ensure you win the date back.

So what your saying is: May 2nd Golden Boy event vs TMT, Cotto Promotions, Top Rank in association with Cotto co-starring Freddy Roach, Floyd Sr pt2. Canelo vs GGG does around 500K PPV. Face it...Canelo is about to lose money because of his stubbornness...Oscar will eventually reign him in because Oscar wants to be available to lend his Golden Boy secretarial services to the KING of boxing Floyd. Canelo will have to keep it pushing.

If Arum is so concerned with Canelo fighting on that date then Arum and TR will not render services. Again, it is a per fight agreement so if TR were to pull out, that means Cotto Promotions and/or TMT will need to cover more costs.

With the exception of maybe two Mexican households, every Mexican who purchases will purchase Canelo GGG as it's a fight people want to see and a fight that hasn't been done. And GGG needs a ppv fight. Even though his numbers on HBO have been great, he needs a ppv fight and one where he is fighting someone with an entire nation behind him is great for business. The only way FLOYD wins on that day is if he fights Pac.

That's right man. The winner MUST fight Golovkin or they will be stripped of their title and forever labeled a coward. Mexicans would never forgive Canelo for that and Oscar is well aware which is why Oscar always fought the best in his career, he knows Canelo has to fight the best as well.

If Canelo vs GGG happens on the same date, May 2nd, as Mayweather vs Cotto, the Floyd fight would not break a million. The date is for Mexicans not Puerto Ricans. It would be dumb to fight on the same date. For everyone involved. Just a pissing contest that would only hurt both fights numbers. But with that said, the largest Mexican fan base, which is much bigger than the Puerto Rican fan base, would certainly support the only Mexican fighting in Canelo.

I meant Canelo is not gonna fight GGG next. If it aint Cotto it will be someone else not named GGG trust me. It aint happening for May 2nd no matter what. Also not sure who I would have winning between those two but obviously its a big risk. Also I just said GGG hasnt beat anyone so Im not crowning him yet. He looks good against scrubs but once he beats a great fighter than props will be given. I am all yall spokesman so take heed or yall will be fired. Got Em!!
