The premises were once known to serve as rat and roach infested housing, where illegal aliens and individuals who'll aren't cowards lived. After a few years, the buildings were renovated. I grew up at the intersection of 27th Avenue & East 14th Street, and I resided in apartment 1508 located in the middle building.
Our rivalry with 29th Avenue stemmed over graffiti; however, it got worse when there was physical altercations and gunfire was exchanged.
They were not even from the Murdah Dubz, they were African Americans who lacked strength and claimed 29th Avenue because one African American lived there. They were Mexican, some who were U.S. born citizens, and some who were born in Mexico. They all thought they were cool once they reached adulthood, despite the fact that they were pathetic African Americans who claimed multiple neighborhoods.
That entire building had fallen into disrepute. Inhabited by vermin, illegal aliens, and those with a crack cocaine addiction. The made the necessary corrections though. I grew up down the street on 27th Avenue near E.14th Street, in the middle building of the 3 large buildings, the one at 1508.
Our differences with the folks that lived on 29th Avenue were childish misunderstandings based around our graffiti. Eventually escalating turning into confrontations and shootings. Laugh out loud.
Those gentlemen were not originally from the neighborhood. They began to claim that neighborhood as there own because one of them resided there, and they shared the same race. It was a mixture of folks that were born here and folks that used to be stereotypical Mexican immigrants in junior high school, but matured and became someone who would claim a neighborhood that is their own.
