where's the interview where Paulie said he beats Pacquiao right now? lol he's clown for that one.

Hopefully Thurman looks good tomorrow, curious to see what happens if he tries to force his mandatory on Mayweather. It's been 17 months... that's a long time to be mandatory.

As Floyd continues to fight and get older and dealing with all of this drama outside the ring, people's odds only continue to go up. It's not like Floyd is getting any younger.

Having said that, I'm not sure Thurman beats Floyd even though I hate saying that because I like Thurman a lot. He doesn't have title fight experience at all.

yeah who knows. We don't really know what Thurman is made of yet. Tomorrow is a pretty good test, certainly no indication on how he'd do against Floyd by any means, but fuck it if no Pacquiao that's the fight I want for Floyd. He is mandatory after all might as well follow the rules. Plus Thurman is entertaining and an interesting dude to say the least. Better than Khan or Alexander vs Floyd, imo.

I'd say that Thurman is probably my favorite fighter right now. I don't care if he lost to Floyd or not, I'd like to see him get the shot either way. I think he's better than everyone in the top 10 not named Floyd or Manny

having bad feelings about Canelo vs diva Cotto....

Cotto's Legal Adviser: Nobody Will Dictate To Miguel
*

By Steve Kim

A bit of a stir was caused earlier week when Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya proclaimed that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez had agreed on terms to face WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto . Many believed that it meant that this showdown was on for May 2nd.

But as they say - it takes two to tango.

Cotto has to still sign his name on the dotted line.

"(Negotiations) are still in the process, "Gaby Penagaricano, the lawyer for Cotto told BoxingScene.com on Friday afternoon."I don't think the statements by Oscar were ill-intentioned but we still have not come to an agreement."

You wonder if this was just posturing from De La Hoya and Alvarez, designed to put pressure on Cotto. But the reality is that Cotto is himself a legitimate draw who has his own drawing power and leverage.

Penagaricano stated - "Nobody will dictate to Miguel, Miguel is in the driver's seat."

There are rumors that Floyd Mayweather - who defeated the Puerto Rican star a couple of years ago and badly in need of a legitimate dance partner in 2015 - had reached out to Cotto in regards to a rematch. But Penagaricano denies that any talks of that nature have taken place.

The focus it seems is on making the fight with Alvarez, which would be another chapter in the rich boxing rivalry that exists between Puerto Rico and Mexico.

"I'd say that we'd have to come to an agreement by sometime in January," said Penagaricano.

To use a football analogy, when asked how close they were to getting to crossing the goal line in making this a reality, Penagarcino answered - "the 50-yard line."
