Growing up I saw this a lot with a decent amount of friends parents who would describe themselves as "middle class liberal & progressive" never straight up heard the n-word but quite a few things that would make me go "lolwut now?" or shit like "well I just don't want you dating a black girl... it would upset your grandparents" actually heard that one once. Dude was from a very Italian family that literally everyone dated/married someone who was Italian for the most part but both of us were just like "the fuck?" lol

yea it was awkward as fuck cuz she always brags about how her family isn't racist and blah blah blah lol he was raging like saying some fucked up ass shit i swear the she said "dad!" and then he got hella quite and walked away to the other room hahhahaha
that guy is a parks ranger which means he gets paid by the state of california to patrol state parks so u know he be hella profiling especially working the oakland hills

not gonna make me stop liking him tho he's cool as hell and he was probably just caught in his emotions cuz of what happened
