I think Canelo would fight GGG if he gets passed Cotto. And if Cotto were to win, well then he'll be stripped and GGG can fight for the vacant title against whoever would be the next man up.

There's ways to get around fighting your mandatory, especially when you're a big money fighter. Negotiate, sign the fight, pull out for an injury and wait for Golovkin to sign another fight and you're miraculously not injured anymore.

I think Canelo would be more willing to fight Golovkin over Cotto. I'll believe it when I see it especially from the WBC.

Well when was the last time the WBC allowed another title holder to win their interm belt? They never ever do that. For them to allow GGG to win it says alot, imo.

Right now it says that they want to collect sanctioning fees from Golovkin's newly signed HBO deal. I hope you're right, but I'm skeptical about these things.

Yeah it's always wise to be skeptical, but the WBC has publicly stated numerous times that they will force the mandatory fight of GGG/Rubio winner. I know their word means shit, but outside of Cotto vs Canelo, a GGG fight is the biggest money fight at 160 (unless Floyd were to move up to 160 and rematch Cotto/Canelo which i doubt), so financially speaking it's in their best interest to do so.
