He won 3 fights immediately after Litzau getting robbed in one against Barros against solid competition. Dude is 38 years old, obviously he's not great and if a top fighter beat him it wouldn't be as impressive. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard because a 22 year old guy coming off his first decision win beating him from post to post is impressive. There's context in how impressive a win, circumstances going into it and they ended up playing out.

If Estrella stunk it out and eeked out a decision it would clearly not be impressive. Judging by me saying "I know he's 38 years old" should have given away that Caballero isn't what he once was.

You're the one that said it was insanely impressive. Caballero isn't what he once was and not even close. The kid did what he should do at this stage of his career. But good for him either way. I'm just not getting that excited over him beating a 38 year old Caballero who's lost 4 out his last 7 now.

It is insanely impressive. The kid could be like any other kid that's unbeaten and had never gone the distance and get embarrassed. I'm sure you hadn't heard of the kid until now and he showed out on a big card in his country and made Caballero look silly. It's all context, you don't think it was impressive that's on you.

Then it's on me. I'm not going to say it's insanely impressive in that particular context. He was once a formidable guy. I thought he lost to Lacierva, had some solid wins after that til the Litzau fight and hasn't done anything noteworthy since. Barros isn't very good and doesn't have a resume worth talking about. If Caballero turns back the clock and starts notching some good wins again all of the sudden, sure it would go down as a good win for Estrella and would be that much more impressive. But as it stands, it's cool and all but he beat a 38 year old who's best days are far behind him. He probably should have been able to stop him.

Pitching a shut out against Hosono in Japan is a good win anyway you look at it. Again you don't think it was impressive that's on you. Caballero won a strap and defended it against a tough opponent after Litzau and won.

If you don't see how a kid in his first real fight flooring a guy like Caballero 5 times is impressive there's really nothing else to say.

Is it me or does Dirrell not move around in the ring nearly as good as he use to? Also the hand speed isnt what it use to be. Everything about his style before made me believe he would be champ at some point but not now. He was a bit taller then his opponent tonight im not really impressed lol.

ko, it was a nice shot but since he had some much reach over his opponent it was pretty easy to land. lol @ this fight right now, this dude is the biggest fucken pussy. Train so much and want to find a way out of a fight by laying on the ground from a low blow that wasnt that bad. edit: He still got the loss lol

He's been around forever. He beat Felix Sturm for the belt. He was on one of The Contender shows way back, lost to Sakio Bika. He's fought Anthony Mundane in Australia like 20 times, lost to Winky Wright ages ago. He's always been like a fringe contender hanging around near the top ten, never good enough to win a belt besides his last fight against an old Felix Sturm (who he lost to before).
