I've experienced losing seasons with all of my favorite teams...especially the A's immediately after they won their 1989 World Series, as they lost to the Reds in the World Series in 1990, and they also lost in the AL Championship Series in 1992 to the Blue Jays. Plus, since 2000 they've lost AL Divisional Series to the Yankees, Red Sox, Twins, and Tigers. And I'm still a fan to this day.

I've also experienced losing my favorite basketball team (the Seattle Supersonics) to another city.
