He has main stream appeal, and wears "non-hip-hop" clothing = Macklemore comparison.

Dude looks like the fuckin Neon Trees lead singer, not a hip-hop head from the Bay. Sure, looks have little to do with the product, but then again...hip-hop is largely image driven.

In my head, im still a 16 year old when it comes to rap music: dope slangin, pants saggin, gold wearing hip hop artists for me, please.

Plus, the guys name is G-Eazy. Like....really? Uggh.

Song was about a 5/10.

A bunch of us were just slappin' some of this young cat's music on the boat while on Lake Tahoe this last Monday. I guess a lot of these young Frisco and Oakland folks are really diggin' his music. I definitely can hear the Yay influence in his music. IMO, I'm glad youngsters like this are giving spect to legends like MD and 40.
