lately i've gotten to know my dad for who he actually is and not as my "dad." turns out, he's a whiney little shit.

It's funny how you when you get older you separate your "idea" of a family member from the people they actually are; and it's hard to face the truth. Like there's some kinda presumption of love or loyalty just because someone is related to you, but as a person they don't really deserve it.
