Yeah I ended up deciding against it. I think Vazquez/Sonsona II will be a better fight than the first, just can't justify paying for it. Fuck a stream though I'm just staying away from sites and will download it after it's done. I'll watch Reveco Vs. Alvardo from last night in the meantime.
Yeah and Cotto $7 million. I'm sure Martinez will get some kind of extra money from something, but still $1.5 is regular HBO money. He can make that fighting Golovkin easy. After he wins I don't want to hear him and Dibella say shit about GGG not being a big enough name blah blah blah bullshit.
The number I saw was 9 million for Cotto. That's 6 times as much which is crazy to me. I'm curious how this fight will do on ppv too. I was very surprised with how many Argentine fans there were at the Chavez fight. I can't remember there being a huge Argentine fan base showing up for any fight before that. It'll be interesting to see how many there are there tonight. I went to MSG for Tito vs. Mayorga and that was absolutely insane. That crowd is going to be going off tonight.
At least it's not $32 million vs $1.5 million (Floyd/Maidana).
Even more of a reason for Martinez to whoop his ass.
Cotto got way more money, his venue, his name first in the promotion, Sergio has to walk to the ring first despite being champ. And Team Cotto tried to not let Martinez wear a knee brace but I guess NYC ruled against that. Sergio's gotta feel hella disrespected. Martinez KO inside 9!
Yeah, obviously. But Cotto is nowhere near the star that Mayweather is.
The funny thing is, this fight really even came about because there was bad blood between them and of course, Cotto waits til Martinez is old coming off of a long layoff and injuries before he fights him even though Martinez said he would go to 154 to fight him back in the day and Cotto wanted none of it. I can't stand everything about Cotto. I hope Martinez destroys him over 10 rounds then knocks him out cold.

I like Cotto, he's a true warrior. I hate Sergio. But the lineal MW title is at stake here and it would be a joke if a bunch of welterweights were fighting for it at catchweights of like 155 and that's what will happen if Cotto wins. Martinez MUST win.
I like this Melendez-Maciel fight. Melendez w/out the time 2 prep makin a good showin Melendez punches look bettter ( velocity&crisp) but Maciel takes em better than Melendez does

Man, all these catchweights and diva-ish demands needs to stop, Im a floyd fan but I blame him for alot of the diva bullshit that goes on before fights, like choice of gloves, catchweights, ring entrances and other shit that probably doesnt get leaked to the public, who cares if sergio wears a kneebrace? And I absolutley HATE the thought of catchweight fights(thats why there is weight classes) so yes, martinez must win to keep order.....
I knoiw much more than you trust me. U say some silly shit sometimes. I may be biased to Mayweather but atleast I know the sport. U get schooled daily on some of the shit u say. Just look at the discussion about Cotto/Martinez. A couple of people had to correct you on your analysis. Keep tryin u will get there one day. Got Em!!
Carlos Takam [29-1-1] Vs. Tony Thompson [39-4] this is supposed to serve as a WBC eliminator for a fight with Wlad. No clue if the fights any good, just finished downloading it.
I haven't watched it either, but Takam has had a could good fights in a row now. First a draw against Perez, probably should have been a W, now the always tough Thompson.
