Vibram FiveFingers Running Shoes Class Action Settlement

Class Members are expected to receive $20-$50 per pair of FiveFingers footwear purchased.
Under the terms of the FiveFingers class action settlement, Vibram has agreed to create a settlement fund of $3.75 million. The relief to be provided to eligible Class Members for each pair of FiveFingers footwear purchased shall be paid on a pro rata basis, depending on how many claims are submitted. It is estimated that Class Members will receive a payment in the range of $20-$50 per pair, but that amount could increase up to a maximum of $94 depending on the number of claims submitted.

No proof of purchase is required for Class Members who submit a claim for two pairs of eligible FiveFingers footwear or less. Class Members submitting claims for more than two pairs of eligible Five Fingers footwear must include proof of purchase for any additional pairs.

Good looking out SuiPSYedKing @SuiPSYedKing .

So a couple days ago I read an AMA (Ask me anything) on Reddit that was done awhile back with a guy who is actually a claims administrator for some of these. It was pretty interesting but he touched on the questions of "how many people falsely claim, what do you do if you find out, etc" He said he estimated over half of the claims were falsely made and that there isn't much they do other than request more info and/or deny you depending on the claim. One of the biggest flags he said they get is they will sometimes check IPs for claims. I guess there are literally families in small towns in the Midwest and down south that more or less live off these checks. They will set up PO boxes (that's why a lot don't except them), do things like fill out one for Rob Smith, Rob H. Smith, Rob Herman Smith, etc. So that said I'm guessing some of us that got asked for more info, PoP, denied and stuff like that might have got popped if you fill out them for family as well or the few people that will try to get one sent to both their house and work (which has worked before). I fill them out for both me and my mom so going forward I'm going to us a proxy and I'd recommended you guys did too if you are filling out more than one claim.

tl;dr

They sometimes check IPs to make sure people aren't check farming. If you are filling out more than just one claim I recommended using a proxy. Here's a free and easy one to use just copy and paste the claim page URL...
