I had just got back from the casino a couple hours prior, was up a few hundred dollars, and was just flipping through the TV about to go to sleep when one of the news stations was reporting that one of the World Trade Center buildings was on fire with unconfirmed reports that a plane had crashed into it. I watched the second plane hit the other building live. Shit was so fucking surreal. I didn't sleep at all that night and went to work the next day and I think even thousands of miles away everyone was just in a state of shock. Really weird day.
I was getting ready to go to school. My grandma said a plane hit the wtc in ny and was straight glued to the tv hella quiet and serious. She did that when the oklahoma city bombing happened too. When I got to school there were replays of the towers both falling. Everyone wanted to go home but we had to stay. No one did anything though we pretty much talked in every class about what it would mean if it was an attack. After it came out it was a terrorist attack pretty much everyone wanted to nuke everything. People wete hostile to anyone who disagreed

It was a dark bloodthirsty time. Bush has a bad rap but pretty much everyone wanted to go to war. Everything calmed down by the time we went into iraq and there was stronger opposition but it was still the minority opinion

I was in bed with my baby momma before she was pregnant, her mom called and we turned on the news and we saw the second one crash live....we both said holy shit then went back to sleep

but then we woke up and turned the news back on and saw that the towers collapsed....we watched for a while and stayed inside pretty much until I had to go to work.....going to work was crazy tho, I was working at the movie theater in san francisco, there was ABSOLUTELY NO CARS ON THE BAY BRIDGE and this was at like 4pm where there's supposed to be hella traffic, there was no one outside in downtown SF, shit was like a ghost town.....then I started movies for empty theaters for the rest of the night
