I quit smoking again today for the 5th or 6th time.

I went 9 months without last time & was hella successful til I hit Las Vegas.

Bummed one & went right back to a pack a day that same day.

I am on the patch & still feel like beating someone senseless.

Fuck cigarettes, I hate paying for my own early death.

You tried the gum? My mom has been chewing it for 20+ years, which really isn't good for you, but is a whole lot better than actually smoking. She said it worked because it helped with the oral fixation and then also of course the nicotine addiction, which she still has. But at least that's about the only bad thing she gets now instead of like 1000 different chemicals or whatever it is.

My brothers ex wife has been chewing it for like 8 or 9 years too, so I have avoided it.

The patch worked last time, but life events plus a casino ( & a plan to smoke cigars while there ) really threw my plan in a loop.

TBH I just don't wanna smoke anymore, every time I light one up I can't help but think what cancer is gonna be like. Or how that $6 could have went in my sons piggy bank, or how my grandparents looked with oxygen tanks next to them, while still smoking.

It's the stupidest thing ever & once I am done with these patches, it's all will power, in which I lack.... but I am working at it.

If I could kick hard drugs & be clean all these years, I KNOW I can quit cigs, because I hate them more than I EVER hated drugs.

My dad used the gum and yeah he ended up getting addicted to it - but it was easier for him to get off the gum than it was smoking. Anytime he felt the urge to chew it he'd just chew on a toothpick instead - now he don't chew toothpicks or gum. He was able to quit a 20 year smoking addiction that way.
That's awesome to hear. Is he good in the health department? My dad passed away from emphysema from years of smoking.

A lot of people use ecigs, especially ones with varying nicotine quantities, lowering them slowly.

I know my friend got his mom off cigs with ecigs

Talk to B @butcher 206 he is an ecig fiend lol
