Crabtree said something to Sherman that didnt sit well with him, but Sherman wont say what it was that same day. All he says is: "he knows what he said to me..."
There's a story making the rounds about a confrontation Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman had last year with 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree.

The fuss took place after a charity softball game hosted last April by Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Sherman has since cited it as a catalyst for his fire-and-brimstone postgame rant toward Crabtree following Sunday night's NFC championship game.

According to the story, which was first reported by the Seattle Times, Crabtree tried to fight Sherman after Sherman approached him to shake his hand. At least that's what Sherman's brother, Branton, told the Times.

But a source who was at the Fitzgerald charity event—and who has no familial or professional relationship to Sherman or Crabtree—witnessed part of what happened and said it looked more like it was the other way around.

"The handshake part is legit," the source said, "but it was Sherman who tried to start the fight with Crabtree. I remember 'cause Sherman kept getting in his face and Crabtree was just laughing about it."

The incident took place at the charity game's after-party at the W. hotel in Scottsdale, Ariz.

"It goes back to something he said to me this offseason in Arizona, but you’d have to ask him about that," Sherman wrote Monday in his weekly column for the MMQB.

That's more or less what Sherman also told Michael Silver of NFL.com:

"Sherman wouldn't share specifics, saying only that '(Crabtree) said something to me, and I told him I'd make him pay for it on the field.'"

The source isn't sure what was said to trigger the kerfuffle—or who had said what. Whatever may have started it, the source said, Sherman was the one who was visibly angry that night.

"I can't shed a ton on it because I didn't hear any of it," the source said. "I actually like Richard and he was a real nice dude at the event and the game. I can only say it appeared from body language that Sherman was the instigator in it, not Crabtree."

49ers respond to Seahawks' Richard Sherman - SFGate

49ers tight end Vernon Davis exposed as hypocrite, this is what he had to say about Sherman

“Sometimes, you just need to shut your mouth. Be humble. Be gracious and just accept it. You don’t need to talk. We saw you made a good play.

But then look at the pic of him in last years SuperBowl after making a catch for a huge gain.

It sounded like a really nervous laugh to me though. Notice how he doesn't get too hype until there's people between them, then he gets tough all the sudden.
What was Sherman supposed to do? They just won and were advancing in the playoffs, why do anything else and risk getting suspended?

Sherman was getting "hyped" because multiple redskins started staying stuff and Sherm is just saying he didn't do anything and the other dude hit him.

Btw that guy that punched him said he was going to punch Sherman before the game he had an agenda and his feelings were hurt they just lost and were eliminated.

Erin Andrews on Richard Sherman interview: ‘It was awesome.’

By now, pretty much everyone has seen the video of Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman loudly proclaiming his status as the “best corner in the game” and calling the 49ers’ Michael Crabtree a “sorry receiver” as stunned Fox Sports sideline reporter Erin Andrews watches.

Andrews’ facial expressions and overall reaction to the bombastic cornerback were talked about almost as much as Sherman himself. Now, in her own interview with Elle Magazine, Andrews discusses the Sherman interview, and her thoughts on the matter might surprise you.

“It was awesome because I’ve done so many interviews that are just so cliché and so rehearsed and the same old same old where you feel like you’re sleepwalking,” Andrews told Emily Zemler. “This is one where I was like, ‘What is happening right now?’ I’ve never been a part of something like that, and obviously that’s why everyone nationally is talking about it.”

Later in the interview, Andrews even says that Sherman is one of her favorite players.

“I actually really like Richard Sherman a lot,” she said. “He’s probably one of my favorite football players. The guy is so smart and he’s got an unbelievable story. That was just pure, raw emotion.”

Andrews’ Twitter account told much the same story, as she posted several pictures with Sherman Thursday morning after taping a segment for next week’s Super Bowl coverage.

Andrews’ reaction seems to contradict some of the critical narrative that followed the controversial interview, which centered around Sherman coming off as intimidating and confrontational. Regardless, Sherman’s interview is still likely to continue to generate plenty of discussion as Super Bowl XLVIII approaches.
