Dutch I get your point, in that artists nowadays, if they wanted to make money and get their name out there, should just bow down to the larger artists and try to collab, but I highly doubt Drake is trying to make any music with 4-Tay. and really, 4-Tay has to praise this dude like everyone else, because Drake makes money and so he isn't allowed to be pissed about it? I get that 4-Tay is washed up and no one's gonna give a shit, but that doesn't mean it makes it cool or okay for Drake to do this. Obviously nothing is going to come of this but that doesn't make Drake any more of a respectable artist for doing so.

I dont expect anyone to agree with me because anyone who makes money in rap music automatically gets touted as a God and can do whatever the fuck they please. I also just never have understood, nor followed the idea that the artists making the most money are the ones who should get the most respect. or to respect their "hustle."

What difference does it make? 4Tay could have came out and said that it was dope that Drake showed his Rap game history and flipped his lyrics. Instead He went for the 12 seconds 200 instagram likes and 16 comments on IG fame.... The song isnt a single. It wont go Gold or Platinum so yeah... In my opinion, He should have hit Drake on Twitter or IG and sent love for the new guy using his shit. He might of gotten a verse out of it and got the chance to pay his bills with some rap money this year.... Just my opinion though... Instead he got a Siccness thread, a post on a site smaller than Siccness and no one will remember or talk about it in 48 hours. Good day humans...
4Tay's reaction is not in question tho. What about Drake's action? You think it's cool to do that or was it a foul?

Nothing but making money pays my bills, so that logic could be said towards giving a fuck about sports, movies, how good your bitch looks on a given nite, etc.. and Im not speaking on anything "blowing the fuck up" or "protesting anything", I'm talking about the integrity of these mainstream artists, of which there is none. Why should I be surprised though?

edit: no one mentioned this was supposed to be a freestyle too, which makes it all the more laughable

if you maintain an account on a message board, dedicated to a certain type of music and have thousands of posts over several years about that music and those artists that push that music, it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that perhaps you care. but i guess the too cool for school thing would be to act like you're too cool or super cynical or whatever, but the fact that you're here posting on this particular board about this particular subject says different

I maintain an account on this message board to interact with friends I've made over the past 15 years. I rarely post in any of the music forums, and truth be told I hardly listen to rap music these days. So yeah, if white bob decided he wanted to redo the bad n fluenz cd word for word, I would give 2 shits.
