A couple of years ago Tony laced my boots on some shit, I looked into it, and sure enough it was the truth. Then others, like bigface, talk about how Manny was getting pimped, Arum and TR weren't shit, I looked into it and it was true
And the funny thing is you didn't side with anyone (Pacquiao or Mayweather) from the beginning! You looked into the facts and then made your judgement.

Here's the timeline again:
FIGHTHYPE \\ MAYWEATHER-PACQUIAO NEGOTATIONS TIMELINE PART 1

You notice Floyd was ready for Pacquiao HOURS after Pacquiao beat Cotto.

The contracts were ready to sign. Floyd agreed but Pacquiao wanted some very minor details added.... like a 10 million per pound overweight penatly, yeah that's "minor". But Floyd agreed, then Floyd's team countered with Random Olympic Style drug testing. Roach and Koncz said no problem. Golden Boy revealed that PACQUIAO had a problem with it. And later on Pacquiao would admit it citing his first loss to Morales.

Pacquiao didn't want Random, wanted 3 tests and said 30 days but was busted giving blood 24 days prior to fighting Hatton. So that's how Team Mayweather got Manny to come down from 30 days to 24. It wasn't a compromise on Pacquiao's behalf. He had no choice because of the video. Even before going to mediation, team Floyd offered the 14-day cut off... giving Pacquiao 2 weeks of no blood being drawn. Pacquiao turned it down.

But when interviewed Pacquiao says "whatever he wants", "Floyd doesn't want to fight me, I don't know why" "I agree to be tested on the day of, they can take blood between rounds" "we don't have to agree to 50/50, he can have the lions share"....

Then Floyd calls him himself and offers 40 million... And what does Pacquiao say? 50/50 or no fight!

At the end of the day it is Pacquiao himself who keeps turning the fight down, not Roach, Arum, or Koncz. Ultimately it's his decision!

Now that's he has been knocked out and his PPV numbers are slipping, Mayweather doesn't even want to fight him anymore.

Sure HERSEY, contract disputes don't occur in boxing they are all just excuses
So take a few months off while things are getting sorted out. Or take a year off. The point is, people break contracts and still continue to go. If they're sidelined so what? And Ward had two fights per year (with the exception of 2012) so stop it with the excuses.

And ward wasnt able to break his contract, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS REPLYING TO. Again, you made a simple comment "break the contract". Obviously if you follow boxing you know it's rarely that easy. Shit, Trinidad is still under contract with Don King and he's retired lol. A contract is a contract. If you have two years it's rarely possible to get out of it.

As for Pacquiao, if he's smart he'll stay a "free agent" when his TR contract expires at the end of 2014. Until then he has no choice.

You keep coming with these excuses. If manny wanted to fight he could have broken the contract by taking the offer. Ward was able to still fight while shit was going down that was my point.

You can break a contract, just gotta pay for it.
PEOPLE BOX MORE SO FOR MONEY THEN THE LOVE OF THE SPORT...I DOUBT ANYBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD PAY A NEW PROMOTION AND STILL PAY THE PROMOTION THEY ARE IN CONTRACT WITH FOR THE SAKE OF PLEASING THE FANS....KEEP IN IN MIND THE LAWYER FEES ON TOP OF WHAT IS OWED....

Didn't Floyd break or buy out his contract from Top Rank to make the De La Hoya fight happen?

Pacquiao could negotiate a buyout if he wanted to fight Floyd that bad.

How can you sit here and say that with a straight face while you know damn well you have no clue the legalities of Pacquiao's contract? You're speaking out of your ass. Pac could have broke his contract by taking the offer? Which means he would have been sued because Top Rank, by CONTRACT, promotes him. Remember when Mayorga excepted an offer with someone else while under contract with Don King, how'd that turn out? King prevented the fight by court order, not a thing Mayorga could do about it because a contract is a contract.

Yeah at that time there was a loophole in his contract that allowed him to buy out his contract for only $750,000. I've heard Pacquiao would have to pay $25m or some crazy unrealistic number.

Lol, $25 million? nevermind..... He'd be better off sticking with Top Rank if it would cost him that much to break it.

The Bob did not like losing Mayweather especially for so little money, considering his worth, and I'm sure he made sure never to make that mistake again. Donaire tried to break his contract with Top Rank and lost. It's not easy. After all Arum is a Harvard law grad who worked as an attorney for the united states department of justice under the Kennedy and Johnson Administrations! He knows laws, how to fuck you, all that.
