New Legal, Over the Counter Cannabis Medicine Released for Pets | The Joint Blog
Canna-Pet? Supplements

Two veterinarians and an entrepreneur from MIT have leveraged the high CBD content of industrial hemp and determined the proper dosages for pets, releasing supplements specifically for the health and well-being of cats and dogs, under the name Canna-Pets, according to a press release sent out yesterday.

After seventeen years of research and development, and five years of clinical trials, these supplements are now available directly to the public, over-the-counter and without a prescription.

According to the organization’s press release; “Canna-Pet supplements are all natural, completely safe, and grant health benefits without any “high.” Sprinkling a tiny measured dose into a pet’s food daily will bring observable results in less than a week.”

They continue; “Canna-Pet supplements are legal and non-psychoactive, because they are refined entirely from industrial hemp, which has nearly zero THC. There are zero negative side-effects and no medical conflicts.”

“While medical testing continues to confirm the benefits of CBD in humans, we already know it has amazing benefits in small animals, so the time had come to release a supplement specifically for our favorite small animals – our cats and dogs”, says Dan Goldfarb, one of the founders of CannaSalus LLC.

He continues; “Over the past five years in our clinical testing we have observed remarkable benefits for pets with cancer, arthritis, diabetes, digestive issues, chronic pain, nausea, and those receiving palliative care. These benefits are apparent within just a few days… Over the long-term animals receiving Canna-Pet demonstrated.”

“We also find that Canna-Pet can be used as a supplemental therapy to reduce the side effects and cost of pharmaceuticals being administered to many pets.”

What happens if it gets hella popular and sells well, and a million people are gonna be tryin to copy that shit to sell themselves? Theyre gonna get sloppy and greedy and fuck the recipe up and put thc and other unproven shit in it on accident because theyre using cheap ass foriegn ingredients and its probably gonna end up killing pets. Especially since its over the counter, people r gonna be sellin that shit at the swap meet lol... Id like to know more about the 17 yr study they did...

Anyways anybody ever had a pit that had knee problems where it was getting fluid like clogging it up or something similar? Cuz a while back i gave her her meds and she felt better and stopped limping, but today she started limping again... And i still hav some medicine left i wonder if i should give her some

You can if its for the same issue. But you might want to still take your dog in to get it checked out. The problem could have gotten worse..hope your dog gets better..

Rite on mane thanks...

Yea the meds worked for the most part except for about 2 weeks ago she started limping around but only lasted a day or less... the vet said shes not overwieght but if she lost a couple lbs itd be easier on her knees, but its a pain in the ass cuz i wanna get her some excersize...but she said for her not to run or jump for a week when she left the vet, which makes me think i should make her rest a few days. But when i do that she gets hella hyphy and is probably more likely to jump around and hurt something inside

Ya man they got so much energy they dont give a fuck. they just wanna play..its not easy thing to keep them calm when there hurt or rehabbing...sometimes for joint issues the best exercise is swimming. its easy on the joints. but not every one has a pool so they can rehab there dog..
