Ive never been so disappointed, embarrassed and downright angry over a win. Pete claims they "tried different things to stop the Rams DL", but that is a hot pile of BS. I saw NO TE help, no extra back help, and no two TE sets that i can remember. The play where Russell threw to Golden immediately on a short screen that got 10 yards? Yeah, more of that. How about a RB screen? That is how you combat a pass rush like that.

Everyone in the NFL, fans and coaches, saw the weakness of this team up close and personal, something fans like myself have been warning others of for weeks now. At some point, they are going to lose becuase of that weakness. Unless Pete & Co. find some kind of remedy. They may need to make some trades here in order to find a solution.

It was literally so bad I can't quiet the conspiracy theory voice in my head telling me that they did this on purpose as some sort of diversion to other teams watching Seahawks game footage.

The play calling in that game was terrible awful ridiculous on both sides of the ball. We made no adjustments the entire game.

We rushed 15 times for 44 yards???
We gave up 200 yards rushing???
We were 2-11 on 3rd downs???
Russel was sacked 7 times???

Like many of you pointed out the announcers were talking about all the things the Seahawks could have done to adjust and didn't, it was embarrassing.

Poor preparation and poor execution. It wasn't that guys were simply getting beat guys were completely blowing their assignments. Can't remember if it was Luke Wilson or Zach Miller but a couple times they were in for additional blocking and completely whiffed on their blocks. It was bad all around. It's not like Seattle hasn't been missing their starting tackles the past several weeks so we know they can do better than that.

Sure it does, but it brought with it a whole new set of concerns going forward. At some point, those W might turn into L in the future. STL just gave the entire blueprint on how to beat us.
I gotta side with the theory some lines above. I believe the movement of that game was pure strategy. I'm not saying the line doesn't need to step up protection about 10 notches, but I think the benefit was heavy evaluation for the 2nd half season adjustments. We will see when they play 9ers. Only other team with solid chance is NO and their defense is not the biz. They do need to protect Wilson better or he is going to have a long off season physically. Truth be told there was no explosiveness in the run game, but when the lambs have 8 in the box like that you can't expect much, anyone who has played the game knows that much.

NO is ranked 7th in the league in total defense (Hawks are 5th), and they have recorded 24 sacks, good for 8th in the league (Hawks have 26, good for 3rd in the NFL).

I think these are the exact same concerns we had weeks ago when three of the starting linemen got hurt. Same problems.

The good news is this - Buccs, Atl and MN next before the bye. Harvin comes back next week. Both tackles will be back after the bye. All Seattle has to do is hold it down these next three games and Seattle could be lethal on offense, just in time for the Saints and SF. Seahawks can REALLY get their offense going by the end of the season going into the playoffs.

Its being reported that Harvin's injury has "flared up" over the last week and he will be very limited in practice going forward.

The thought of Jared Allen on Seattle's defense is awesome. I'm guessing not many teams, if any, willing to let go a good left tackle. Too valuable.
True, but who do you give up for Allen? Draft picks? Another DL? A LB? Someone from the secondary? Cant trade a TE or WR....we dont have enough to give right now. Only have 2 QB's on the roster. Do you give up a guy like Christine?

FOX's Jay Glazer reports the Seahawks are not one of the teams pursuing Vikings RE Jared Allen ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline.
Glazer confirms two teams are after the walk-year pass rusher, but is adamant Seattle isn't one of them. It's notable because Glazer and Allen are off-the-field friends. ESPN's Adam Schefter has since confirmed Glazer's report. We'll know Allen's status by 4PM ET Tuesday.

Sidney Rice is dealing with concussion-like symptoms.
Coach Pete Carroll made the disclosure in a Tuesday radio interview. Rice also suffered a knee injury in Monday night's win. With the Seahawks on a short week, it's unlikely Rice is ready to face the Bucs. Rice ended 2011 on injured reserve after suffering two concussions in three weeks.

Coach Pete Carroll said he had no problem with Marshawn Lynch expressing frustration on the sideline Monday night.
Lynch was visibly upset on the sideline after a goal-line sequence that saw the Seahawks call two Russell Wilson bootlegs and a pass. He finished with just eight rushes for 23 yards and no touchdowns against a run defense that came into the game ranked 30th in the NFL. "He's a competitor," Carroll said. "He wants the ball. He wants to put the ball in the end zone. He wants to help us win." Look for the Seahawks to establish Lynch in a home game against the Bucs next week.

Ok. The Saints have a 3-4 Defensive scheme and the Hawks have a 4-3. Statistics are great but its the offense vs. defense matchups that matter. You have to look at what offensive schemes vs what defenses, its not as cut and dry as looking at statistical rankings. Also, every week adjustments are made based from film and correcting mistakes. This is why the phrase "any given Sunday" exists.

I read they are asking for a 2nd or 3rd rounder, which would be a TERRIBLE move to send for a guy that you probably lose in free agency.

2nd round pick for half a season of play = no way jose.

If, as I read in some rumors, Allen was willing to renegotiate his deal; I still don't love it because he is 32, but I wouldn't be as pissed.
