Drunk Driver Led Cops On Chase So He Would Have Enough Time To Finish His Big Mac | The Smoking Gun

After exiting a McDonald’s drive-thru lane, an intoxicated Ohio motorist led cops on a short chase because he “just wanted to eat his Big Mac before he stopped,” according to a police report.

Responding to a call about a reckless driver, Brunswick Police Department officers located suspect Randall Miller, 31, behind the wheel of a silver SUV that was departing McDonald’s around 1 AM on September 28.

“I initiated a traffic stop and the subject failed to stop,” noted Officer Clifford Smith, who added that he chased Miller until the motorist pulled over. Miller, who smelled of booze and was slurring his speech, apologized to Smith, saying he “was too drunk and he just wanted to eat his Big Mac before he stopped.”

Miller, whose blood alcohol content was measured at more than three times the legal limit, was arrested on several counts, including drunk driving and fleeing an officer.

Miller, seen at left, was arraigned last week on the charges in Medina Municipal Court

Luckily he didnt harm anyone in the process, because had he did, the family could try and spin it to make it look like it was McDonald's fault.

"They saw that he was drunk, but still served him the big mac which lengthened the time of his drunk driving that killed my Son. I believe if McDonald's didnt act irresponsibly by selling him the Mac while intoxicated, my Son would still be alive today. We are taking McDonald's to court" (unfortunately, I dont think this is farfetched in America).
