People liking that song has no correlation to what they do and don't know about hip hop. You might as well have said "this isn't REAL hip hop" because that last sentence of yours is equally as laughable breh.

Liking an eminem song does not = Not knowing hip hop.
Honestly I would say the average person who likes Eminem to some extent would hold more knowledge of Hip-Hop. And I am basing that solely on the fact that they are exposed to an emcee who actually cares about putting thought into his lyrics, and using multi-syllable rhyme schemes and other basic elements that make hip hop what it is.
You can hate his style, content, image, voice, and whatever the fuck else all you want. BUT you just make yourself look stupid if you cannot at least admit, basing purely on his lyricism skills as an emcee, that the dude has talent.

First of all, he hasn't had "lyricism" since he first came out in the mid 90's. It's one thing to have a bad song here and there but if someone is garbage for over a decade then yeah I'm gonna call them out on it. I don't know exactly what you constitute as lyricism or having creative content but Eminem isn't and hasn't been that guy for a long time now. What other artists do you think are close to Eminem as far as creativity and skill?
