Glad he finally did a track with Game. Dissappointed that its short, and the beat couldve banged harder. (nh). They need to do another track that is loooonger imo. felt like this track was a wasted of a great Game verse.

I agree

More tech the better.

But then im a hating cunt who would prefer 90% tech rather then tech trying to be a rapping salvation army and giving slots to shit nowhere rappers like snow and scoob ect lol
tech's next album should be titled "featuring tech n9ne" because it seems like he only does one verse per track for his own albums

damn, i'd hate to agree but it really should be the other way where it's only a few artists, maybe save bigger names for albums, strange artists for their own albums/tech EPs

after a proper listen to the deluxe version I'd have to say from a musical standpoint it's definitely a notch above 6's and 7's overall (whether or not it caters to everyone's tastes)

still think Party The Pain Away should've made the cut but otherwise solid/10

This is apparently getting alot of good press everywhere. Iv seen multiple online forums giving this album great reviews and just being out and about in my own neighborhood Iv heard alot of people talking about it.

Good shit for Tech. I see people who I know normally never fuck with Tech posting his videos on Facebook and giving him alot of props on some new different type of music. Shit even Diddy shouted out the album on Twitter haha that was a surprise.

Now that I have had a chance to listen to the high quality tracks in my car this album is definitely more dope to me now then to when I originally heard it. You gotta let these songs grow on you. Something Else is the perfect title for this cd, because it truly is. It was throwing me for a loop at first because it is so different, but after you replay the music more and more you start to really appreciate how good this shit actually is. Its a very great, unique and artistic piece of work.

my thoughts exactly.

the atmosphere of the production and vocals really come out on a quality system.

also great to see the spectrum of much deserved props and positive attention Tech is garnered off of this alone from mainstream names like Diddy, Macklemore, The Rock, etc. on social media this week alone

Given the comment about Violet saying Believe was his "Grammy winning song," I would assume it's the other one. I tell you, it would be cool for Tech to get a nomination, and then actually get a call to perform on the show. Believe with the strings played live? Epic. Especially if they blurred the "Beyonce" line further and got her to guest during the performance.

Love this album.

Even better when played on a quality sound system. I enjoy his solo albums so much more because you actually feel like you're on a mental trip while listening to them. His lyricism and delivery are spot on and his overall approach to music is second to none in my opinion. A few songs I thought should have been a bit different, the hook on "With The BS" for instance, but overall as a fan I'm really satisfied. I would have to say that my favorite song is "Straight Out The Gate." Easily one of the best songs I've ever heard from him. Tech and Serj together truly is a masterpiece and I don't know if people actually realize that. Talk about 2 musical entity's.

Definitely recommend watching the DVD that came with the CD as well.

Which brings me to a question...

I've been thinking about this for a long time now and after a bunch of lyrics regarding this subject on this album my curiosity is even higher.
He speaks in depth on this album about how much child molestation or touching little kids and anything related to that subject bothers him a lot. On All 6's and 7's at the beginning of Cult leader he says: "rapists not welcome" then literally months later does a song with Mystikal. There's no way Tech was unaware of why Mystikal went to prison and what his charges actually were. I've always thought about that and after hearing so much content related to sexual child abuse in general on this album I had to ask you all what you thought.

Tech said on one of the songs on Something Else that he was molested by one of his teachers, so I'm sure everything he brings up in regard to rape or pedophilia stems from that.

And about Mystikal, Tech was on that song for another artist. There's no way of knowing whether he signed on for the song before or after Mystikal got a spot, too. Plus, Tech's a respectful person. He's probably not going to go on some kind of emotional tirade about being featured with someone who performed sexual assault.

And as far as the all seeing eye on the wafers goes, I kind of stand by my last post about it. It's imagery, and a very popular and highly influential bit of imagery in the current scene. I'm not shocked, nor do I think Tech is part of some illuminati-type plot to wipe my mind. The worst Tech's music has done to me is make me wanna fuck more bitches. That seems harmless enough.
