Tech N9ne - Something Else

Well after my first initial listen I can definitely say All 6's and 7's was a much more complete album with more stand out tracks IMO.

The beat selection for this album to me was pretty mediocre. Not what I expect to hear when I think of a Tech N9ne album. Way too much rock influence for me. The features for the most part were garbage and lessened the quality of the songs.

I was blown away after first hearing all 6's. I am not even close to being blown away by this album. Sad to say. There are good songs on it that I do like, but not nearly as many as 6's. Party The Pain Away could of EASILY replaced 3-4 songs on this record as well as Rockaby.

Stand out tracks for me:

- Straight Of The Gate
- Fragile
- See Me
- Fortune Force Field

This album is dope. Might not have the same highlights as 6' & 7's but i don't feel like it has the low points either.

The album definitely has a good amount of unique tracks.

After a full listen...

This album is COMPLETE....FIRE.

Listen to it FRONT TO BACK...i don't think you can say its garbage if you
hear it all front to back. I listened to it on my home system so maybe that's
why people haven't heard it all the way like its MENT TO BE HEARD. Not saying
on a home system is the necessarily the way but it should be heard with BASS.

I think the only thing thats disappointing is the fact we basically hear half the album way before it even releases and by the time we get the full album its like we only getting 4-5 new tracks.. kinda lowers it for me but at the same time I want tracks early.. cant win lol

I can see that feature being held until release day or the day before. Its not like rap fans are rushing to preorder rap albums to hear Beyonce featured. But if it is true its something that will definitely draw alot of attention once its already out.

I agree 100%. I think thats whats taking some of the shock effect from me hearing this album. Already had BITCH, FFF, See Me and So Dope before it leaked which are some of the best tracks on the album. But when I know new Tech music is out I cant just not listen to it. haha fucks me every time...

Although some of these new songs are now growing on me fast after hearing them 3-4 times a piece....
