An Oakland man found wandering in his socks and underwear in Vallejo early Sunday appeared to have been robbed, police said.
Vallejo police officers responded to the area of Alameda and Virginia streets at about 2:23 a.m. to reports of a robbery victim. Once there, they found the 24-year-old man who said he had been robbed by two Hispanic males, police said.
One had been armed with a sawed-off shotgun, the other with a handgun, police said.
The suspects approached the victim and said, "Break yourself." The victim then grabbed the shotgun from one of the suspects. During the struggle, the other suspect hit the victim in the face with the handgun, dislodging his teeth, police said.
The suspects were ultimately able to get the victim's clothing, his wallet and his identification before fleeing in a white minivan, police said.
The victim was treated at a local hospital.
