I seriously don't understand what's the big deal with rappers going to jail / prison. It's like the fans anticipate a great rap album to be recorded upon his release (speaking in general).

The only one to ever do that & truly succeed was 2Pac. He signed to the hottest label at the time and dropped a dope album. Since 1996 rappers & rap fans have this illusion that being incarcerated before recording an album or signing to a hot label is going to bring out the best in you.

The difference? 2Pac had talent. And unlike rappers today, he showed & proved it in his music.
