Fair enough & understandable. It's a matter of mis-wording and misunderstanding. I can accept that for not making it clear. And it's hard to express demeanor over the internet, text messages etc. without getting to voice one's opinion. Know anything I say is not hateful nor in anger.
However, what I meant was: My personal opinion when I listen to underground music I tend to feel like a lot of them fit the stereotype. Smoking weed is the most typical subject matter.
Especially now when music is at an all time low and it's not being as good as it once was. It all just boils down to what I'm expecting off anyone's record if I'm asked to give an opinion. Rap to me is a mental picture, so I don't like to hear "She sucked my dick while I was driving." " Big as my dick." "She was on her period when I fucked her." :cheeky: or about smoking weed. It seriously paints a mental picture in my head of amateur rappers who don't know how to be creative enough to craft a song & really trying to be different.
Rappers like Too $hort, NWA, Dr. Dre etc. I grew up listening to & I can accept it. I love all those older albums & played them over & over. I'm not offended by vulgar language on a record. It's just when I hear newcomers or someone I've never heard before I expect a little more originality and some creativeness in 2013.
